This video turned out a lil scrungly on the visual side for a host of reasons. Just consider it a part of the PS1 aesthetic, it'll fit.
EDIT: As of 7/26/2024, a big content update just came out for Dread Delusion, but don't expect a follow-up to this video for a good while. I wanna let things sit and settle down so that the second video I do on this game can be the final one. Gonna wait and see if more content updates come, more rebalances, etc, then cover the changes once I'm pretty sure the game is in/close to its completed state.

I'd actually argue the very opposite with the notion that the Apostatic Union are the worst of Religion without the Religion.
Honestly I'd argue that your whole interpretation of the game is kind of off. It's not just the Endless Realm that is the No Good Options zone. The whole game works so beautifully hard to make sure that there are no correct options for any of the quests. it's a a moral judgment call based off of what your morals tell you is the least worst option.
What I love about this game my self is that there are no Villains. Everyone is trying to do the best they can, in a horribly flawed world, and just as with the player who's never presented a correct option, they are all working with only their flawed judgement.
The Gods Demand horrible suffering, and warp those in their sphere of influence, out of deranged cruelty, malice, or pure insanity. Of course people who want a stable world want them gone... Unfortunately they are just the only things keeping the fields from going fallow.

No good outcome quests aren't necessarily bad. As long as the possible outcomes are substantially different and you have something to think about.

felt compelled to return to this video just to commend you on your ability to casually recognise and bring up 'deeper' political or philosophical or whatever aspects of the game, such as the apostatic union being an enlightenment style civil-religious mirror of theocracy, among other things (look into the book dialectic of enlightenment if you're interested in the topic in the real world). great video, although i do love the game a lot more than i think you did and it made me a bit mopey after getting excited over finally seeing a youtuber capable of analysis.

I agreed on all if your points, but my game runs completely fine. 100+ fps on a pretty old computer.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said in regards to the gameplay and it's honestly what kinda turned me off of it despite how much I vibed with the writing which is a shame

If you haven't already gotten it, you should look at the acid fantasy bundle. Get the most bang for your buck.
