I always liked his first run better. (Sid Justice era.) When he did the heel turn on Hogan, his character was at his most menacing. Sid is awesome, I remember one interview in which Sid said to Vince, "I'm sorry I just can't work in a place where grown men act like this" in reference to Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior.
Hogan had a point for getting upset. Vince and whoever came up with this storyline which blew up in their faces and made Hogan look bad had messed everything up...it had nothing to do with Sid. Sid is just bitching as the same drama happens in all of wrestling...wwf or wcw...so whining about Hogan fussing at Vince makes no sense for leaving a company. It's not a lie. The fans cheered when Sid eliminated Hulk even though he snuck up on Hogan to look more villanous. Then they booed when Hogan helped Sid get eliminated. What other reason would they cheer him being eliminated? There is video evidence of this. It's harder to find because you need to see the original ppv feed. WWE edited the crowd reaction on the home video release and had gorilla monsoon re-record his dialogue to emphasize the Sid was the villain. Again it's harder to find the original footage but the crowd absolutely cheered when Sid eliminated Hogan. Why do you think that is? The majority of fans that had grown up with him in the 80s were ready for something new. Hulk had some creative control at that point, do you really think he would've agreed to it if he thought it was a bad idea? He was upset Sid was cheered and he was booed. Obviously they didn't want to make Hogan look too bad but it was clear they were tying to get Sid over and Hulk wasn't happy that it was done at his expense. I'm not trying to say Sid was more popular than Hulk overall, but at that specific time, he absolutely was due to him being a fresh face that gave the fans something new. Secondly, Sid didn't kick out of the leg drop because it was scripted to make him look strong. He had to out of necessity because papa shango botched the finish. Joe Pesci what trial are you referring to? He did admit (though was still BS’ing a lot) during mchmahon’s trial - but he would Also later deny it more later in life. To be fair, just about every wrestler and pro athlete has been using for decades - and gym day... I was a trainer of athletes and gym denizens back in the 90’s we all knew it... there just the way it was. It’s a bit shocking that wrestling has cleaned up as much as it has - though there’s still plenty of uses around (and you can’t tell by appearance for many). Most world class and even national level athlete are still drowning in performance enhancing drugs (not just steroids by any means).
@Marc Carran Warrior was saying he was all natural, but denied using steroids near the end of his life. There's no way to be that big in your fifties without help.
Hearing Sid shoot and be himself has made me greatly appreciate him and his time in wrestling. Guy was beat up on by fans for so long. I think within context of the performance the criticisms are fair, but he's a cool dude.
I love Sid. He's a local guy here on the midsouth, who I saw alot on Saturday mornings on Channel 5 wrestling. He did his job well. He acted the part and certainly looked the part, of being one of the scariest, most intimidating wrestling heels, in the history of that business. He was GREAT at being that character. I said that to say, that when Sid told Vince he wanted Hogan's spot, if Vince had given it to him, it would have most likely killed his career. Especially on a international level. There's no way he could have pulled off a babyface character. I mean, can anyone picture Sid, with an upbeat personality, and having to wear a smile for the kids? Especially at that time, when he was so full of juice, that his eyeballs floated. 😂
Which makes that even worse I loved Jim growing up and still am a fan but the guy sounds like a nightmare to work with or to be around Imagine him picking up a lady lol Go Jim 👊 rip legend
"The Universe and the Gods are telling me that the Warriors want me to kick your ass! Plus the steroids and the ROID RAGE is about to explode my brain!" Lol
Sid is so underrated. When going back on the WWE network i loved him as the champ in WCW and they just took the belt off him and never used him again...sucks, he had great momentum. He seems like such a nice guy too
Years ago I was in a bathroom at a football game and Sid Vicious Walked in. Even out of wrestling character he was the most intimidating man I've ever seen
Many years ago I saw BIg Cat Ernie Ladd out side a Broadway show entrance..... he was wearing cowboy boots , so he looked a lot taller than his height of 6 Ft 8...I did not have the cahoons to ask him for a autograph.....
Sid was the man. My favorite bad guy as a kid (watching old dvds of wrestling events). Only Ric Flair and Debiase compare, and for entirely different reasons. No one was as intense as Sid
Sid vicious was always one of my favorite wrestlers. Promos and action in ring. The guy was fucking intimidating. Hearing him discuss things he seems like such a good guy too. Someone you could hang out with after the show n just shoot the breeze with
haha, he's a liar, a dirt bag, and an idiot to boot. Stabbed Arn Anderson, no showed major WWF obligations to play softball, no showed an indie booking then called the promoter and said it was due to Trump's travel ban (the audio from the call has been released, btw, so this one is 100% fact). Claims to have not known that it was Wrestlemania 8 when he worked, thought it was just another show. One of my favorites, he claims that Russo scripted the line "I have half the brains that you do" in his infamous fuck up on Nitro instead of just admitting that he had a slip of the tongue. He's not a good guy.
...as long as you're not Arn Anderson! I don't know if you remember this, or even heard this or not, but Sid Vicious & Arn Anderson actually got into a huge fight against each other, with a pair of scissors! (Or was it with a knife?), anyway-These two literally tried to kill each other!
Said vicious was way too underrated. He was something special. He could play an absolute mind-blowing psychopath in the ring, and then be literally the world's nicest guy right after.
Saw a WCW PPV from the early 90s on the WWE network. Nikita Koloff beat Tommy Rich with a single clothesline. That's how it should be...finishers mean something
Me and my son (at the time was around 6 ) met Sid back stage in Albany, Ga , he was leaving and took the time to come over and talk with me and my son very nice and humble
Sid was one of the most intimidating looking wrestlers of all time. The only wrestler Sid seemed to cower down to a bit was The Undertaker. Anyone else he wrestled, he intimidated and drove fear into before the match even started.
I can see why some smart fans didn't like Sid, but he was my favorite WWF guy and I loved how different he looked opposed to other guys.. And dude is a real man.. He let his intentions be known and owns up to his mistakes.
Sid was so much fun to watch. What a great character and utterly terrifying Physique. When you can make Hogan and the undertaker look small, that's insane. He stepped into a ring and looked down at EVERYONE he faced.
The Ultimate Warrior was definitely one of most electrifying characters in wrestling period. The Ultimate Warrior, Undertaker and British Bulldog we're my favourite wrestlers. The Ultimate Warrior is a legend regardless of how he was outside the ring.
When we was really young watching wrestling at a family friends house, one of the kids who was just a few years older than me would do the entrance at the same time. He would blast the volume up, go out the room to the far end of the hallway, as soon as the intro was done and his entrance music came on, he would come running down the hallway at high speeds, I would imagine as fast as possible lol, hearing his footsteps banging the carpeted floor and then open the living room door and run around in there whilst breathing heavy and with having the angry face on and trying to speak like him 😂🤣. I'm surprised he didn't just run out on the streets and gorilla press a passer by 🤣
Just the energy of the dude . Even in those crazy promos . As a kid he came across like he man or some shit plus he was a bit more ripped than the rest of the wrestlers . He had a good upright suplex and overhead press , he was a bit stiff because of how much weights he lifted and he was new to the business but he could do things alot of wrestlers couldn't do
@@20FreeWill there is nothing he does other wrestlers can't do... besides the high energy levels and personality. His wrestling was below mediocre my man but God damn was he electrifying on screen.

@@allnfun6315 sid faked an heart attack once and we all know about the arn Anderson fight, he would always ruin his top spots, the warrior was a business man
When Sid was introduced in 1990 he stood face to face with Undertaker and was unhinged, when nobody could stand eye-to-eye with Undertaker at that time. I was shocked to see that. Sid even reversed Undertaker's famous choke maneuver. Sid was a special performer. If Sid could have stayed and Ultimate Warrior could have learnt to wrestle a bit better, things could have been so much different right now.
Whether u like warrior or not, he made a big impact in WWF with his character and the whole warrior image, face paint and the tassels on his arms and boots. The crowds went crazy as soon as his music would come on, yeah technically he wasn't the best of wrestlers but his opponents that knew how to work with him created some brilliant matches. All his matches with macho man, Rick rude and undertaker were unforgettable as well as his match with Hogan when he won in wrestlmania. Maybe he let his fame and popularity get to his head but I definitely think as he grew older and was no longer in the business he learnt his mistakes and matured as u can see when he got inducted into the hall of fame, Jake the snake got to end his disagreements with warrior as well as Hogan when they meet up backstage. You can't deny the impact he had in wrestling back in the day, and it was very sad to know he passed away after making peace with Vince and other wrestlers. Definitely deserves to be in the hall of fame.
Sid is awesome. He genuinely terrified me back in the day as a fan and I still appreciate that to this day. I loved the Ultimate Warrior but yeah, he was way out there... in the weeds on the Moon.
ironmike southern, it was lame. That’s why it worked. Hogan said once that if he knew how bad that would’ve messed up his hips and back he’d have used a sleeper for his finisher instead.
@ironmike southern can't remember the Steiner refiner, is it the move where he sits on the upper back area of his opponent like the camel clutch? If its the camel clutch that Rusev & Iron sheikh used, it can hurt for real. As kids playing wrestling on our living room, a cousin of mine applied it on me & it actually hurts a bit.

Ultimate Warrior said he used steroids. He admitted time after time he used roids. Edit your comment you look stupid.
Rip to Sid and warrior two straight up Legends...
😞🙏🙏🙏
The ruler of the world, who's the man?
Sis was one of my favorite all time wrestlers. He was a genetic freak for his era. You will always be remembered Sid. God did bless you.
I agree kicking out of finishers is stupid.
Like when Sid kicked out of Hogan's legdrop at WM8...

@@pauldavis5665 How did Sid know? Presumably the ref told him, I suppose.
Hearing Sid shoot and be himself has made me greatly appreciate him and his time in wrestling. Guy was beat up on by fans for so long. I think within context of the performance the criticisms are fair, but he's a cool dude.
Sid is my favorite big man wrestler of all time.
Sid was over like crazy in 91-92. They should've had him beat Hogan, then Flair for the title.
Sid Justice ruled!
I agree but the only reason it didn’t happen coz he couldn’t cut a tremendous promo
@@moep.8578 It didn't happen because Hogan got butthurt when he was booed at the Royal Rumble.
Really like the guy but not good on the mic and crap wrestler. Just like Nash just a big guy
Then Flair wins the title back in a steel cage rematch.
That warrior impersonation cracked me. SID!!
I always liked Sid I have his old Sid Vicious WCW Card. He was always a great in ring performer.
Psycho sid was so damn intimidating back in the day. Such a shame injuries ended his career early.
"Well the stars tell me to sound like Macho man." 🤣😂🤣😂
When the stars align with the moon and the quazars shoot across the milky way and my steroids dance in my veins with the cocaine I will kick out .😂😂😂
Roger Heath 😂😂 i can only imagine walking in on that and then turning around and walking out laughing.

News just broke of Sid's passing. 😞
Sid is a stand up guy and a straight shooter. In my opinion "Sid is the greatest looking heel of all time"
Sid is so underrated. When going back on the WWE network i loved him as the champ in WCW and they just took the belt off him and never used him again...sucks, he had great momentum. He seems like such a nice guy too
This guy scared the crap out me as a kid. He seems like a cool guy right here.
Not only did Warrior kick out of finishers, he wouldn't even sell them. Ask HHH.
Fin balor is just as intimidating as Sid was
...as long as you're not Arn Anderson! I don't know if you remember this, or even heard this or not, but Sid Vicious & Arn Anderson actually got into a huge fight against each other, with a pair of scissors! (Or was it with a knife?), anyway-These two literally tried to kill each other!
Ronald Shank it was a pair of scissors, and Sid is the one who went to his room to get them and straight up try to murder Arn.
I kicked out of a finish once.
Cause her husband got home early.

Said vicious was way too underrated. He was something special. He could play an absolute mind-blowing psychopath in the ring, and then be literally the world's nicest guy right after.
I love him on channel 5 wrestling in Memphis!! "I'm the man that rules the world." - Sid Vicious.
Oh and "I really didn't want to do it!" 😂
We need to protect peoples finishers.
To many kick outs.
Almost no such thing as a finisher today.
Saw a WCW PPV from the early 90s on the WWE network. Nikita Koloff beat Tommy Rich with a single clothesline. That's how it should be...finishers mean something
Agreed but how?
@@phillipstankey8881 That was called the Russian Sickle. Devastating move.

When you was a kid and watched wwf. Sid was why you 100 percent believed it was real. He was the best at what he did out of them all

Sid is not what I expected from stories of the past. He seems like a pretty mellow, cool guy.
Me and my son (at the time was around 6 ) met Sid back stage in Albany, Ga , he was leaving and took the time to come over and talk with me and my son very nice and humble
This is one guy who was really intimidating. Lol he was definitely on of my top tier favorite wrestlers.

@@ZealKingdom bruh fr tho i ainf even look it like that
It sounded a lot like a Macho Man impression as well lol
Sid was one of the most intimidating looking wrestlers of all time. The only wrestler Sid seemed to cower down to a bit was The Undertaker. Anyone else he wrestled, he intimidated and drove fear into before the match even started.
I can see why some smart fans didn't like Sid, but he was my favorite WWF guy and I loved how different he looked opposed to other guys.. And dude is a real man.. He let his intentions be known and owns up to his mistakes.
He was one of my favorite wrestlers,
Also acting while wrestling opponents, one of the best, Hell of a tough guy, Bless you Mr. Sid Vicious❤️🙏👍
He sounded like the Macho Man Savage in stead of the Ultimate Warrior..😂
Marc B. lol I thought the same
Hogan, Savage, and Warrior used to say some whacked out shit.
Cocaine’s a helluva drug.
🤣😂😂
Sid was so much fun to watch. What a great character and utterly terrifying Physique. When you can make Hogan and the undertaker look small, that's insane. He stepped into a ring and looked down at EVERYONE he faced.
Great Actor... He was a Maniac😁
The Ultimate Warrior was definitely one of most electrifying characters in wrestling period. The Ultimate Warrior, Undertaker and British Bulldog we're my favourite wrestlers.
The Ultimate Warrior is a legend regardless of how he was outside the ring.
Yeah man the Warrior was crazy to watch.
@@jakejutras5420 yes there is , alot if wrestlers can't military Press opponents or jump through the air like him or hold a standing suplex for as long . He was pretty strong

Sid Vicious is one talented guy! I enjoyed watching him work or perform because he made wrestling look real.
Yeah he sure did. He brought a different kind of realism to wrestling. It was as if he was really that
Did is a smart humble good guy. Huge guy too. He is definitely a legend!.
At first, Sid’s Ultimate Warrior impersonation sounded just like Savage.
I enjoy Sids shoot interviews. He seems like a really likeable guy in real life.
Sid vicious seems like one of Dr. Gero's invention.
Lol he didn't learn anything. This information is easy to find if you look for it, but you want to believe and defend, so you won't.

At least sid got to kick out of a prime Hogan leg drop at mania 8 thanks to shango missing his queue lol
ironmike southern, it was lame. That’s why it worked.
Hogan said once that if he knew how bad that would’ve messed up his hips and back he’d have used a sleeper for his finisher instead.
@ironmike southern not to mention the weakest finisher after Santino's cobra.
An all around good guy...Met him @ MSG in NY and he was a monstrous teddy bear. The Skyscrapers were awesome back in the day.
