Thunderclap is just the sound lightning makes when it hits the ground. A thunderboom is when it strikes far away, and you hear that low rumbling, a thunderclap is when it's really close and it's a quick sharp noise instead(referencing how the Pokemon moves in really close at extremely high speeds for physical attacks). Also, the "It's super effective!" sound effect is based on a thunderclap as well.
This Pokemon looks so cool reminds me of Zoraork

ThePokeResort it's just a term that describes the sound of lightning. specifically the real quick loud ones (which kind of sound similar to a loud clap, thus thunderclap)

Sure, so essentially a thunderclap is just a clash of thunder, can also be used to describe something sudden/loud too. So when they say Zeraora is the thunderclap pokemon, it fits, and they don't actually mean like the physical motion of clapping your hands. Though thunder claw would be cool too :)
its by no means that powerful lol, its just very fast, it will certainly have its counters in the competitive scene, smoogn at least, it will have to run hp ice which wont ohko defensive landorus, and at best your doing half to chansey with close combat on switch in, if youre going set, i dont see it being much different from manectric except faster

I don't know why they even bother making mythical pokémon anymore. They don't have value anymore and we'll never be able to shiny hunt them again. We haven't had an in-game mythical encounter event since gen 5. Gen 6 had those lackluster cut scenes for Diancie and Hoopa, but the other "events" are just handed to you. Gen 7 was even worse, all of the events came and went with minimal hype and all of those pokémon just sit and collect dust in everyone's boxes. And they only gave out 1 shiny tapu, the shiny Zygarde we should've been able to catch in-game alongside Xerneas and Yveltal, and some exclusive shinies in Japan. I don't expect gen 8 to break this vicious cycle. The pokémon company has never been very good at making decisions for their franchise. We will probably never be able to obtain shiny Zeraora, Marshadow, Volcanion, Hoopa, etc, through legitimate means. It makes me wonder why they even have shiny forms, even james turner's ugly shiny ultra beasts are obtainable. Even MELTAN!!!!!! Even THE MOST terrible pokémon design that gamefreak has ever pulled out of their asshole, has an obtainable shiny form!!!!! And they wonder why the community is littered with hackers and cheaters. IF there are gen 4 remakes planned for the future, I hope they'll bring back those amazing in-game events and the ability to battle and catch mythical pokémon and their shiny forms. If Gamefreak does not do that, then they are trash in the worst way.

I heard about Pokémon when I was six and I'm 10 now I grew out of Pokémon and gave my two Pokémon games away here are my top ten reasons why I don't like pokemon plus this is MY opinion so don't hate. My freind is trying so hard to get me back into Pokémon. The games repeated over and over again so is the anime.
