Some constructive criticism maybe. This video has great content, nice solution for integrating the anchor trolley into the anchor wizard, really well done. The intro stuff where you are showing great fish catches and self promotion lasted for about 47 seconds, I actually just clicked past that. Don't you see a ton of lost traffic in your retention statistics for that fist 45 seconds? Your channel has 3 to 4 times the number of subscribers as mine so it would appear that you are growing despite the extremely long intro stuff.
Thanks I appreciate it. I don't think you're in any position to be given out advice. I don't put any time at all into this channel to try and get views otherwise I'm sure I can blow this RUclips channel up pretty good. I don't do this for views I do this to help others as well as document my modifications. There is no drop off at all in the first 45 seconds according to my Analytics. I will keep that in mind though because I hate long intros as well. I do find the people who complain about people's videos are usually the same people that complain about everything. Usually even a short intro won't make them happy.
Might be a little late but what anchor is that? I ordered everything else you have but want to make sure my anchor tucks in there like yours does. Great video!
Im still up in the air. Im gonna get a sportsman pdl and start with Navarre wizard setup. Drilling holes still sounds scary. His setup has the anchor drop off the port/stern of the kayak where there are fittings. The paddle holder also is on the port side so trolly setup might not have the room
@jimbo_patt yeah drilling holes can be daunting sometimes but I've been doing it for so long I'm pretty comfortable Drilling. I've never liked my anchor dropping up at the bow because the anchor line always seems to get in the way when I'm fighting the fish anytime the fish wants to cross over the front of the boat and to the other side that line is always in the way.
Would I be better suited to mount my anchor wizard on the bow or stern? I usually fish rivers, might take my kayak on some smaller lakes. I usually try and go up stream so I have the current to help me back to the car when I am done fishing/tired. I like to anchor at a spot for a few minutes/break it down and move up.
Great Video. I got a question. Are you using just one track adapter to mount the chute to the track and if so do you find that it's enough. I'm looking to do the same set up but wasn't wanting to drill holes in my yak.
Great question. It definitely needs two spots holding it down. One of mine is a track adapter the other spot is screwed to the kayak itself. Hope that helps.
Newly subscriber here. Getting ready to install my HD trolley on my bonafide ss127 tomorrow. This is exactly what I'm wanting to do as well. I'm running the Anchor wizard along witb a tight lines anchor. Can you tell me the size of the stainless ring and clasp that you used? Or does it just have to be big enough for the anchor shaft to pass through?
Good morning glad to have you as a subscriber bona fide makes a great kayak. The ring you're speaking of is a 2-inch ring I found mine at a feed store for horses but you should be able to also find them at Home Depot. I hope you catch the snot out of some fish on that yak.
At the end of the video you show the mounting for your yak power what did you use for your hull mounting plate? Did you make it I would love to get one to do the same type of thing
It's definitely nice to have but not a must. The YakGear Stack-Out Pole is great. I mostly use it to push myself through super shallow water. But I do occasionally put it through my anchor trolley then shove it into the ground. Thanks for the comment.
Good morning thanks for watching. Hope you're subscribed at 5,000 subscribers I'll be doing a giveaway. The Anchor Holds very well I actually carry three different anchors with me in the truck. My next video will be up today or tomorrow morning, it's about the three different anchors I use and why.
Got You bro. Subd as well. Tight Lines
We may have to talk bait making as well. 😂😂
Sweet ride you got there. I got my first kayak a few weeks ago. I am looking at anchor ideas. I like your set up
Thanks for the video! This is exactly what I am going to do with my feel free kayak.

Good demo. Thanks for sharing this. It looks like a good setup for you.
Absolutely, I love it.

@aaronstevens3879 its called DaBomb Anchor. I have a video on the 3 anchors I use and why.
Great idea and video. How have you mounted the shute for the anchor. Thank you
Wow nice system
Thanks I appreciate it. Are you planning on setting one up for yourself?

@@WillSelbyKayakFishing Exactically. Dropping from the bow just sounds like a bad idea
@jimbo_patt I've done it before on one of my older kayaks and didn't like it at all. If you hook it to an anchor trolley it's not as bad.

Nice video! Where did you find the steel hoop from? The one that the anchor passes through. Thanks.
Hello and thanks for watching hopefully you subscribed. I got it from a hardware store in the horse tackle section.
Amazon has them. 2 for $7 they come with the gear track feet
At the end of the video you show the mounting for your yak power what did you use for your hull mounting plate? Did you make it I would love to get one to do the same type of thing
Yes sir I made it myself I used 1/4 inch plastic cutting board off of Amazon.
I noticed you have a YakStick. How often do you use that vs the other anchor? I just wondered if that's important to have.
It's definitely nice to have but not a must. The YakGear Stack-Out Pole is great. I mostly use it to push myself through super shallow water. But I do occasionally put it through my anchor trolley then shove it into the ground. Thanks for the comment.
Does the anker hold well in current? How deep iss your max. drop depth?
