As writers on Twitter, how can you build your following and boost Twitter engagement? Today, I talk about Twitter for writers and the importance of Twitter curation, so you can grow your audience and create real engagement without feeling like you're constantly churning out content.
When I was still trying to build an audience in my business at the beginning, I honestly felt like a content cow with sore udders. What I mean by that is that I felt like I was continuously being milked to produce more content. This was stressful, but I did it anyway because I wanted to grow an audience and boost Twitter engagement.
You’ll be glad to know that there’s a way to continue engaging and putting yourself out there without producing copious amounts of content and wearing yourself out.
One mistake that writers on Twitter often make is that they retweet other people’s content without adding their own comments and encouraging engagement in that way. It’s a lost opportunity because you can use someone else’s content to inspire you, and help you curate to encourage Twitter engagement with your audience.

This is fabulous and useful advice. I have definitely been trying to go the curation route, rather than creating my own content all the time. But now I need to goto the next stage and ask questions and put a more thoughtful response when I retweet!
