Nice fossils! I am studying the strait nautiloids at university and have become somewhat obsessed with the amazing Ordo-Silurian accumulations in Baltoscandia, amazing fossils! I cannot imagine seeing the great nautiloids alive.
Interesting! Yeah the fossil-fauna is really amazing. There are som cephalopods of big size to be found and also other ones like Lituites, Discoceras and Estonioceras. Glad you like it! Cheers/ FS
Great finds! I live in Michigan and there are various quarries where trilobites can be found. Love your videos and love the music you added. Thanks for sharing.
Greetings from St. Petersburg! You shoot great videos, so it's interesting to watch! I want to recommend a simple Videopad video editor, it is free and there will be no unnecessary labels on your videos. And another question - at the time of 18:30 you said that you covered the trilobite with Perlite, please tell me what it is and what to mix with and in what proportions? I use automatic translation to watch your videos, it may not have been translated that way.
Thank you very much. I'll definitely look it up. 👍👍 It's not perlite It's called paraloid b72. You mix it with acetone at different proportions depending on how liquid and thin you want it. I usually use about 10% for coating fossils. It's good for fragile specimens in particular. It's also completely reversable if you want to remove it again. Sometimes I use only a bit of bees wax to enhance the fossil. Cheers/FS
Wow där var jag i helgen! Hittade ett antal trilobiter där alla saknade sina huvud och en mindre hoprullad komplett (uppskattad utsträckt längd ca 4cm). Blev enbart ett par timmar då vädret var emot mig.
Hi. I used a little bees wax for the complete trilobite to enhance it and on the fragmented rough one in matrix I used Paraloid b72. A preservative professionally used for fossils and archaeological artifacts. Hope that helps! Cheers.
Happy fossil hunting. I wish I was there.

Där ser man! Roligt. 👍👍
What tool do you use for cleaning?
Hi. I use hand picks, airscribe and some lighter air abrasion in some cases.
Sweden?
Yes.
Wish I could become a fossil..... but I suspect my parts will be used to help a wealthy elite
what did you put on the top to preserve it? I don't understand by the video audio. Thanks alex
