Jazz is a very hard genre and not every idol can sing jazz, but, KIM TAEHYUNG effortlessly and beautifully sing it! Imagine yourself in a private pub and TAEHYUNG is performing on a winter night. WOW! TAEHYUNG's voice is just so soothing, calm, sweet, deep and rich voice. I can't stop smiling and feeling the joy he had performed these songs! BRAVO V! His vibrato is gorgeous! It is indeed heaven TAEHYUNG!
Have you heard Colde's cover of DNA by BTS? He has a very unique like chill lounge modern funk/blues style. I feel like that type of style would fit V quite well.
Taehyung is such an old soul, I love that he is doing a genre that isn't popular in kpop because it's what he likes and it suits him, he's a true artist.
also yeah Minna has such great vocals, they had great chemistry but like you said.. they're professionals and sweet. I hope we get more duets for Tae and female singers in the future because the mixture is amazing

This is Irving Berlin's song, originally made for Fred Astaire. Many artists sang this beautiful song, but my fav is by Louis Armstrong & Ella Fitzgerald. Of course Frank Sinatra sang it too, and Tony Bennett. V & Seo Minna also kill this song, this duet is very good.. I heard it again and again, love the performance.

Yes, it is scat. "Cheek To Cheek" is from the 1935 movie "Top Hat". Irving Berlin wrote this song specifically for Fred Astaire. "Cheek To Cheek" was nominated for an Academy Award. I grew up watching all the old musicals/movies with Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire and more with my mom. Tae is smoother than butter!

Minna Sao is a So. Korean jazz singer. I think she is called “the princess of jazz”.
She has the female voice of the 30's. I love it! Their scatting is amazing! Would love to see jazz come back like the 30s! They could bring it back big time! The grainy film look, and old fashion mic sound...their clothes and movement's are excellent!

My 83 year old mom and me danced and sang with the amazing V. She loved it. Of course it is her favorite kind of music an mine when I was little. She was able to go to the US quite a lot back in the days to watch the great singers of that time, Big band, jazz and all that.
You can't go wrong with a number by the late great Irvine Berlin now can you and with V (and oh blast I've forgotten her name ugg.) singing one of his numbers we've got a great combination. Irvine Berlin wrote Cheek To Cheek in 1935 for the classic film 'Top Hat' were Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers sang and danced to this. It's one of the greats, so happy to hear V picking it up and running with it. The term you are looking for is called 'Scatting.'

Have you listenened to Diana Ankudinova's cover of Can't Help Falling in Love, or Wicked Games? I think you may enjoy her unique voice. And yes it is scatting. First time i heard this song was in the black and white Ginger Rogers Fred Astaire movie with the most amazing dance sequence. It is one of the classic and best known dances of their generation other than Dancing in The Rain which Fred Astaire also did. If you havent seen either performances may i suggest you do. One music teacher i had way back in grade nine told me a girl who loved metal but played the flute. "Looking at the historical arts helps us appreciate and reach forward as as muscicians and artists. How can we value our own music if we limit ourselves in what we experience?" He taught my class full of pop loving class mates and I to love Motzart, Bach, Queen, Elvis, even folk music even had us playing musical numbers. A new song every week to add to our class and band folder just for our pleasure. Yes jazz, blues, country, and types i don't even have names for were there as well. Even the theme from The Muppets (our favourite). Now 30 + years later yes i am that old, that school is gone but that teacher's words are something i used to raise my children by. My children all have vastly different taste in music yet they share videos all the time in a family chat that my husband and i share in as well. Respect is the key. If it isnt for us that is what we say. No music bashing but we do listen.

Cheek to cheek came out in 1937 by Fred Astaire (a great dancer, Micheal Jackson borrowed his stuff.) It was then covered by the greats, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Bing Crosby, and countless others. If you want jazz, go back to mid-20th century, like V does in his vlives. My dad was a fantastic piano player, would launch into this song anytime.
