I was going to ask the same question. He must have a damn good amp if he could do all that with just a spring reverb. I was under the impression that there were 2 guitars playing with a lap or peddle steel doing some work over top.

@@jackhaugh there's definitely some pedal steel. Mark speer definitely has other pedals in addition to a Fender Twin Reverb (I think).

Andrew Downey Thanks. I think your tone nailed the main guitar line that makes up the bulk of this song. I’m pretty sure there’s some stereo tremolo going on as well at some point which could actually be coming from the amp as well.
I’m not a huge timing effects guy, but I’m starting to get into actually USING reverb as I really never have in the past. I just finished doing some amp shopping. I would have loved to have gotten a Fender twin, and I’m really regretting not getting one. I got some monster 100 watt tube amp head that’s really only good at getting loud. I’d much rather have a more refined smaller amp.
Hell, I guess I’ll sell all this shit and get a Fender 2x12 with reverb and tremolo.
