How to make your own DIY watercolour ground - now paint watercolour on canvas, wood, anything!

With new grounds you can paint watercolour on just about anything - canvas, wood panels, I've even done a hand painted label on a wine bottle as a special gift. But the grounds can be hard to get hold of, or expensive and they come in very small pots - so if you want to paint big, it's a pain.
