What I found ironic is that he tells Heedo that she’s been thinking without him and by herself. Of course she did because in those 6 months he never tried reaching out to her and communicated to her. That’s all she’s had left to do, think and make a decision by herself. They had a beautiful and passionate love for each others. But what was lacking is what only love can’t give. It takes more than love to sustain a relationship. Heedo was always giving and I do believe YiJin should’ve communicated and committed to her more during his time away, be it good or bad. But at the same time I do understand the unsatisfying ending as we must not forget that this is a first love. At the end if you really think about it maybe they just weren’t meant to be And that to you, is what a first love is. You make mistakes. You don’t quite understand love at its full potential yet, thus they weren’t able to overcome their obstacles. Unfortunately alot of us fall out of our first love and what was once meant to be wasn’t anymore. And that’s okay. This is what this drama is about.

The hard part is that their relationship is broken because of them both. It is just that they are not deeply and really helping their relationship to be strong especially in the times of neglects and misunderstanding. Both of their pride overflow. It is just that they are not match and meant to be.
I think it is mainly Yi-jin's fault. He pulls away due to PTSD of having to deal with all the grief of the families day in and day out. Hee-do tried to support and reach him buy he gave up. His main priority all along was to get a career and bring his family back together. He cared for Hee do deeply but not enoigh at this point in his life to make her the main priority. For me that is what hurt the most most. He had an amazing woman to spend the rest of his life with, and he screwed it up.
Wtf they had one of the strongest love. But yijin was in a different situation, he should have told her he's going through something but he didn't care. Hee do is right they're lovers during good times and burden during sad times.
i can understand she wanted to break up but she blamed only him like he wasnt supporting her career before for a long time. she is going abroad and trains for days and didnt have time for him either. she couldn't understand that he finally found something stable in his life and didnt want to lose it. there were miscommunication between them and that's the fact but it goes both ways he didnt want to burden her with his pain but she didnt try to talk to him before breaking things up. when he was fighting with his feelings she didnt gave up and finally they ended up together but suddenly she didnt want to fight for the relationship. she wasnt happy but imo she chose the easiest way.
Why do u always expect heedo yo take initiative, so did it before as well . He never did anything to save their relationship. He completely stopped. Sharing his problems with her that made her feel lonely . Also he took the decision of shifting to new york all by himself. That's when she completely gave up. The end
I still don't understand why did they break up. It might be because for me, their situation is just a small problem among problems that a relationship will encounter. If they have a very deep love to each other, no matter how hard a problem is, they will surely surpass it together.
Well i think they should have stayed friends. He didn’t talk to her about staying in NY he should have. They kept being sorry to each other. It’s understandable sometimes love isn’t enough
Disappointed and feeling sorry to each other for a long time can drain people. They didnt express their sad / negative feelings to each other because both of them didnt want one to be worry. All those feelings accumulated like a time bomb.
But baekyijin can't understand heedo feelings too, she said he want to share everything suddenly he go to America without telling her and telling his problem is burdensome to him. It just they're not meant to be.
She was eight even though her character is younger than him. Two people can't be lovers if they're not sharing their happiness and sorrows. We just live in a world where people don't know how to love.

I've actually always liked this ending. it makes sense. Not every relation has a happy ending, sometimes life just forces you apart.
