Donate, volunteer, do door to door visits, write letters and or post cards, make phone calls, help people register, be a poll worker or poll watcher, help people check to make sure they are still registered, drive people to the polls, etc. I'm 65 and I did a bunch of the above things for the first time in 2020. I did not want Trump getting in office again. IT FELT GREAT!!!! I'm doing a bunch again this year (not the door to door - I'll leave that to the young people, they have more energy - maybe I'll buy them some pizzas/cookies to keep up their energy).

Personally, I haven’t listened to polls in years. They are wrong the majority of the time.
I knock doors, there are a lot of democrats that don't want a sign in their yards because of Trump supporters in the neighborhood. But, they are going to vote for Biden. Quiet, but LOUD when voting.

@@Runny117the record employment thing is a farce. Over 25% of those jobs are government jobs that came from federal funding. Inflation is at a point of no return. Big box companies and fast food chains have to sell food and other items at a net loss in order to bring sell more in volume so they can turn a profit in the long run. The dollar store no longer exists. Biden met with the mainstream media to slash unfavorable reports about his economy. The national debt is at its highest point in US history and the Fed still isn't comfortable with lowering interest rates because biden is underperforming.
Trump had record high median household income, record high home and business ownership, especially among BIPOC households. Trump had real American job growth within the private sector not taxpayer funded government jobs.

I was not a Biden guy in 2020. I was actually pretty disappointed that he was chosen to be the Democratic nominee, I was all in for Elizabeth Warren. He has turned out to be the most accomplished POTUS in the just over a half a century that I have been alive. At every turn, in the face of a House being run by a circus side show, he has exceeded my expectations and quite frankly shocked me with what he’s been able to accomplish. I do fret about his age and it is time for a female POTUS, preferably one of color, but I cannot convince myself that four more Biden years isn’t a good thing. I’ve never been as enthusiastic about an office holder as I am about Joe. Which is a complete 180 from where I was in 2020.

"How do you explain that?" Simple, people don't answer polls. The underlying data and assumptions around polling are crap.
It's challenging for me to take Congressman Clyburn seriously regarding American democracy and local issues because many of the issues that I care deeply about are issues that he is willing to concede to the other side on. For example, Congressman Clyburn's dismissal of eliminating qualified immunity for police officers in the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act really angered my sense of justice and fairness and safety. Congressional comfort with inaction is not a reflection of the American public opposed to police reform. Recent polling from Gallup showed that in 2022, 50% of U.S. adults say major changes are needed, 39% say minor changes are needed and 11% say no changes are needed to make policing better. Young Black voters likey myself aren’t looking to ‘tinker around the edges’ of policy change. In other words, we’re looking for more ambitious, direct initiatives to change the current standing policies (and protect use from being lynched by police officers).
Be wary of people who hear what they want to hear.
Polls are taken over the phone, most people either don't own a "home phone" or don't answer it if they do. Those who do answer are the same pool of people called for every poll because they are known to answer the call and give the same answer every time.

I don’t know how things are going to play out in November, and I’m voting for Biden, but Trump does seem to have an increase in support on social media, and people aren’t thinking about the issues that you listed. A lot of people seem to be supporting him because they’re tired of being silenced and censored. That seems to be the main reason for the Trump support that I’m seeing. That’s why his scandals don’t bother many people, because they see it as a way to take a stand against being censored.
As a Biden Supporter, I do believe he needs to step down and anoint a new younger democrat to bring in the Win this year. There are a lot of people on both sides that think that he's not fit to serve another 4 years. Being a President is very taxing on the mind and body.

Polls are supposedly random samples. But random samples are difficult to create. A random sample may need 10 people. Three Asians, Three European descendants, three Latinos and one Black. They are all sampled from different parts of the nation. But by chance, three of them work for Wells Fargo. That sample is theoretically random, however, there may be a strong political culture within Wells Fargo. The sample would not be completely random although it was intended and planned to be. So polling is just another attempt at guessing. And people giving wrong answers to hide true feelings are also a problem.
