Alec - as comprehensive as ever. Thanks for the mention in the captions. Fairly recently, a different person heated up the pasties while we were all playing. They were slightly burnt and he got a lot of stick for that . . .
Alec - can't remember if you've done an episode on being a Marker ? Fellow club players often ask if you would mark for them in club competitions. And, of, course you reciprocate.
Just played my first online game of Virtual Lawn Bowls against a human opponent. It has just been released for Android. It was very good. I lost by one shot on the last end . . . Nice not to have to social distance, use hand sanitiser etc. I live in Wales so we still cannot play bowls. Hopefully after the next lockdown restrictions are lifted in three weeks time.
Sounds fun. Good practice? I have only had a few roll-ups so far, I have been surprisingly busy with none bowls stuff. Hope to get more next week. I hope it cools down a little though, it is too hot for me. Fancy complaining about the glorious weather we are having. 🌞😬
Our clubs are just beginning to open up in Scotland. Managed to get on the green for the opening session min Sunday 😊. What would you suggest for practice for an absolute beginner? I was playing with a friend and was just getting my eye in and trying to draw close. Should just continue that for the foreseeable or should I spend some time practicing alone on different techniques? Thanks Alec
If you are awaiting some tuition, then sticking to the basic delivery, line and length is probably the best thing to do. Line first, don't worry about the length too much at first, just try to get the bowl to end up centre of the rink, then when you are happy, concentrate on length. Practice 2-3 different lengths too. Let me know how you get on. I must do a pure basics video, I will work something out.
Thanks for the video Alec. The food and tea look good.
Thanks Gary. I always enjoy the teas. Especially the cream teas. :)

Haha, burnt pasties. I bet they still tasted fine. :)

Thanks Alec. Much appreciated.
I only drink coffee lol
Haha, well I am sure coffee would not be a problem. In fact I, like you, only drink coffee. 😀☕️
