Just realized that i went up a different way to Pali notches, next to the cliff and not through the bushes. I stopped after checking out the drop on the cliff side trail. After watching your video I see you can go under the bushes and not have to push your way through them. Great video
I was out in Oahu like 8 months ago. At the hostel I met a guy who said he visited 1-2 times a year, and he told me where the best shave ice is at. Head up the main drag towards the all the shops, Rolex, Tesla, and H&M. Catty corner from the H&M, like on the sidewalk is a little 10x10 brown wooden hut called Island Vintage Shave Ice. I kept it simple, just mango and strawberry, and OMG was it amazing. I had 10 in 8 days. Also, if you haven't, next door to the famous Leonard's, is an amazing little BBQ place called Kono's. Their BBQ pork bomber (no onions) was freaking amazing. Luckily they opened up 3 hours before my flight home, so I had a chance to get one more before leaving. I highly recommend it.

Anyways great call on calling it quits as I can see the wind picked up a lot and those terrains ain’t easy. So Im glad your safe and you trusted your instincts to be safe and live another day than to put yourself in heavy injury or worse, death. But you are safe and sound and we are all here for it.
