The most INCREDIBLE preserved railroad almost didn't survive - these people SAVED it

  • The East Broad Top Railroad is an amazing railroad - frozen in time, since 1956. It's been reported as one of the most "complete" railroads, retaining all of it's shops, accessory buildings, locomotives, and cars. The EBT has been back at it since 2020, and just recently got a steam locomotive back in service as of this year. It's a truly magnificent landmark everyone should see.
Huge thanks to ‪@nicholasozorak2931‬ for putting together this incredible edit.

Since I "rediscovered" the East Broad Top back in 2016 and began filming it, telling the story through video has been a goal of mine. The trailer I created for the launch three years ago was a start, but I have filmed rebuilding efforts since then.
This video isn't just about the trains. It's about the people who made preservation of the railroad possible. Thank you Mark for this collaboration opportunity.

Folks, this video is Nick's masterpiece. I'm just happy I had a small piece of helping with it and presenting things to you all... It's fantastic to be able to collaborate with you on these things. These stories of preservation matter - and being able to share them in this way is fantastic. I hope everyone enjoyed.

Now it is a rail yard that you can actually see in its entirety with a functional steam locomotive and useable freight equipment. Then there is the immense work put into the shops. Most of the buildings were partially sunken into the ground now they all are level and don’t look like they are going to fall over.

Oh my God this video was so good, I loved the way it was filmed and the story behind it, I hope one day I'll be able to get to go to the EBT or the railroad museum or something. But good job on thisman

As much as I'm mad that you went back east and didn't call me up, you did an OUTSTANDING job at this film. We'll get together eventually. -Cheers!

Great video!! I visited EBT before its close in 2011 and was amazed at the place. It's all that you say. I was saddened when it closed, and I am thrilled that it's "back in business." I do hope to return and see its new incarnation.
