Probably Jerry Goldsmith s most energetic action score ever, my all time favourite absolutely fantastic

Another very good JG score to a so-so / wack film. This one used to be a staple of UHF movie-of-the-week type shows.
Very good, stark, first-half followed by comic-bookish, increasingly ridiculous, second half.
And around the midpoint the movies' most sympathetic character is abruptly killed (WTF?!)
See also JGs scores for Cassandra Crossing, Capricorn One, and Twilight's Last Gleaming during the same period.
The TLG score had a major re-release on CD back in the mid-nineties. Worth tracking down if you're a fan.

Yet another example of JG doing good music for a less-than-good film. Tnx for sharing. Probably would have vanished ooff the face of the planet otherwise.

It's too bad, this story had (has) so much potential to make a great movie. They just did an awesome job of screwing the pooch with it.

@@spacerconrad Someday, maybe someone will film Roger Zelazny's novel the way he originally wrote it.
