To explain: internet cafes to cut costs, use the 1650. And since a plethora of users log in and out of these cafes, they register a ton to hardware surveys in Steam
I believe these charts are highly inaccurate because internet cafes were people play games like league or csgo are maybe all using different steam accounts but on the same hardware and things like this may throw the results in a different direction
It is exactly what I thought. I was thinking somewhere between the gtx 1050/1060/1660. Prices are especially high for people outside the United States so a lot of people don't upgrade unless they absolutely need to
Because most Internet Cafe's are running with Nvidia GPU's in my country almost every internet Cafe's have Nvidia GPU's and all of them have steam and everyone plays CS and Dota2 and so steam collects data and that's how it's so popular in the list, It is so rare to see an AMD PC in an internet Cafe cuz most of them are using pre-build pc and buys them in package with a server

Since then always bought amd, had a vega 64 which i sold during the mining craze for a lot of money, now got a 6800 xt and its all great, beats its nvidia counterpart in rasterization almost 100% of the time, dont care personally about ray tracing and any upscaling tech, im paying full price for full resolution
@@markojovanovic9651 as someone who just wants to play games at over 100 fps is it a good option?
@@CASA-dy4vsif you aren’t doing 4k or 1440p you can probably play on ultra settings in every game forever or at least a long ass time as it’s a 2k gpu that can do some decent 4k for me it was only 400$ with tax without tax it was 360 so not too crazy expensive like a 4090
Intel integrated graphics not even getting on the top 10 is crazy
I’m rocking a 4650G pro right now. I’m old so all of the games of my era (95-05) run just fine maxed out, but I’m saving for a GPU to get into more modern games.
NVIDIA wins because AMD card owners nearly never gets a notifications about that.(i'm one of that people)
I only recently for the first time ever received the notification on my 3rd AMD card ever so I decided to submit it to help the numbers a tiny bit. I bet the data for AMD is way off on the survey.
You're supposed to do something for them to know what card you have? I didn't even know
You don't need a notification, you can just scan your hardware on steam and it will show up in the results
FR
Can confirm
Didn't know 1050ti which I have is still so popular lol
It was released with literally zero competitors. That is why.
You see, the reason it is popular is because just like you, a lot of people haven't upgraded since lol it was legit the best mid-range card at the time by a mile
Fellow 3060 Laptop users like this comment 🤝❤️
You'd be suprised how many people don't even play triple A titles. Just grinding those well optimized competitive games.
Budget badass here!! I only need a £100 PC, 1080p screen and i can play most of what i want.
My admittedly ancient 1060 is a bit long in the tooth, as is my 9th gen i5, but i mostly play retro games and maybe AAAs from 10 years ago. So just like most people, I'm still playing Skyrim and Fallout 3/New Vegas on ultra settings and my machine will comfortably play most emulators out there.
I'm capable of putting together something much more up-to-date, but i enjoy hunting down well priced components and have a warm feeling inside when i remember my PC actually cost less then a current gen AAA game on Steam! 🙂 It helps that I've been building PCs for a long-ass time. Since the days Pentium II CPU came on cards like a modern GPU, in fact.
Amd has become an extremely good deal now, they are almost neck to neck with nvidia
Arguably they are better, they perform less yes, but they cost A LOT LESS, and are not as power hungry
@@KShauryaDwivedi 100% agree I regret spending that much money on an rtx 3060ti (got it around 2021 end)
@@KShauryaDwivedi less power hungry lol. The 4000 series have way better efficiency than the 7000 series. There were even situations where the 4080 uses less power than the 7900 XT and the 4090 using less lower than the XTX.
@@RainKing048 no, amd is better overall. Yes in some situations 4000 series is better but still. Also the 4090 pins literally melt under high power consumption
@@KShauryaDwivedi No they don't? Stop making shit up. The issue was because of improper connection, not because of the high power usage. Besides, the PCI-E power cables we know today could also melt if a very high wattage load is applied.
Unlike AMD, Nvidia didn't hesitate with accepting RMA requests from the beginning even if it's user error. Whereas AMD were in denial about their defective cards and denied RMA requests. Until now, they have not indicated which batches are defective and some users are still reporting they're having hotspot issues for a newly bought reference card.
its because everyone yells “NVIDIA BETTER BOOO” thats a streamer/player with a reputation and money. us more budget minded that know amd cards are just as good for lower prices rock them.
I still love my Aio cooled 6900xt. They are great cards and don’t use half the power as a Nvidia GPUS
My air cooled 6900 XT is great. A nice Undervolt and I get the best of performance AND low wattage.
I expected the 1660. I'm surprised to see it so low down, even way below the ti and super variants. And cudos for the 1060 in second place. What a trooper.
I had a 1060 for I don’t know how many years, thing is bulletproof and held up well with some modern titles
I’m still rocking my gtx1060 6tb and proud of it!!

selective surveying by steam
No
Not really. AMD GPUs are good, but nobody's buying them due to Nvidia's vice grip on the market.
@@notlNSIGHT I dont think thats true and that doesn't make any sense.

So you actually someone who is using a sub-200€ card from 2019 is actually paying 70€ for the most recent games? LMAO I have a 1650 Super and other than FH5 the most recent game I have is BFV from like 2019...most of them being from 2017-2018 at most. Turns out it actually was the card I was thinking...
People sleep too much on amd. The 1650 is a 4gb vram card for about 200. Maybe 150 these days. This is what I use to have. The Radeon rx 580 is an 8gb vram card for only 100. Twice the power half the price. But people rather pay for names
Ray tracing and other things as well

Makes a lot of sense with the RX 580. Its a very good budget card that is used in MANY budget pre-builts.
Steam hardware survey is notoriously unreliable. Just sayin'
Bruh, the data from the steam user. They know what you running on your PC.

If you have a laptop with integrated graphics, your laptop is very likely to run Steam on the integrated graphics rather than the dedicated one which means some laptop users' data isn't correct (probably)
To explain: internet cafes to cut costs, use the 1650. And since a plethora of users log in and out of these cafes, they register a ton to hardware surveys in Steam
This is exactly what I thought the list would be
i fully expected to see the 1080 up there
1050ti 8 year old card still serving well (if you dont want to play any extreme game)
Outside of the most developed countries, we still use GPUs from 12 years ago, and they're still expensive
this is exactly what i’d expect
it was what i thought, still interesting to see the other placements
Radeon Graphics are also in ROG Allys. It’s pretty nice for a integrated gpu
I have 1650ti laptop version, and its preety good for gaming
Still rocking the 1060!!!!
I believe these charts are highly inaccurate because internet cafes were people play games like league or csgo are maybe all using different steam accounts but on the same hardware and things like this may throw the results in a different direction
I've had a 3060 for quite a few years now.
It's exactly what I expected lol
this is actually really good, while everyone is glued into the star of the show, ill sneakily steal an amd card
Damn. The most popular GPU WAS what I thought.
Budget ballers are gamer ballers 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥
It is exactly what I thought. I was thinking somewhere between the gtx 1050/1060/1660. Prices are especially high for people outside the United States so a lot of people don't upgrade unless they absolutely need to
Didn't know my 1650 existed till now on that level.
Still rocking a GTX 1650M laptop and it's doing decently in Cyberpunk2077 on low moderate settings. Not gonna lie, great experience for a budget gaming pc when I brought it in 2020
Seeing the 1050Ti in 6th place helps me not feel so bad for being poor af
Still rocking it in my 8700K / STRIX Z370-E Gaming build, but I've def. been shopping recently for its replacement. Seriously considering a B580 - if I can find one - but also part of me wants to hold out a while longer to see if Intel releases an A770 successor... 🤔
as a user with a 1060 its so versatile right now its cheap and good and can run any game i throw at it
I have 1650. The reason I have this card is I bought it in 2022, it was all my budget (150$) and other cards' cost ranged from 300$ to 600$. 1660 was also was too expensive for me.
I used to use a 1650 to play red dead redemption at 1080 and it did really well
It is questionable how useful the public data from the steam hardware survey is.
So it was literally what I thought it was.
The thing with amd and rtx cards is that they have different prices in different countries
