    I have a doctor who believes that cold and flu season should actually be called lack of vitamin D3 season. Because in the winter it's cooler and we keep our bodies covered up more so we have less skin exposed to the Sun to collect vitamin D3. I take it all year round and I rarely get a cold or flu. Elderberry is awesome.

      I believe it! I work in the healthcare field and I’m scanning patients with Covid for 40 minutes and I never got it (that I know of) bcuz I take vitamin D3 for migraine prevention. I really think that helped!

    The first time I went out west I noticed that anywhere my clothes rubbed against me, that skin became dry and chapped: around the waistband, thighs, and so on. It also surprised me, coming from Wisconsin, that everything was bone-dry outside in the morning, no dew!

    at the big box hardware, they have nails of that size. just no plastic thingy to break. so also get a number of washers to fit the nails, (less total cost than the "camp" units like you have). and a large claw hammer. (to pull them back out of the ground.

    Excellent video! When I'm dehydrated or feeling lightheaded, the first thing I do is make an electrolyte drink.
    When I first feel any cold -like symptoms, I take some elderberry syrup. Usually my symptoms go right away and I don't need a second dose. Great stuff!
    Glad you brought up the info about rodents. If they nest in your car and chew on your vehicle's wiring, it's going to cost a bundle+ to replace it. I have read pinesol also works, but will look into that brand you mentioned. I also want to put rechargeable units with flashing lights and high pitch signals under my hood and at the back.

    Great INFO! And yes we travel full-time and always have all supplements, OTC meds, Teas and tinctures for all kinds of things that spring up. My boyfriend just got the sore throat too. It has been so dusty so were pretty sure that is what it is. I always worry about Valley Fever as well. Today over here in Tyson Wash LTVA its a nice 88..... ouch. Tomorrow (Monday) supposed to be 90! After that its smooth sailing..... thank god. On the stakes we found some heavy duty stakes at KB Tools in town. Their no joke and yes bring a HAMMER.
    Again great video and please everyone keep hydrated.....even in the winter. I keep drinking my Electrolyte waters all season.
    Thanks Amanda~

    just buy a 5 or 10 pound refillable tank, yes costly (but only once) but you are not making more trash for a land fill.
    with a post, and couple hoses. got plenty of light, can run a stove, camp fire, or even a heater.
    i have a very small one i use in my cj-7. mostly only 3-4 trips never have run out and never needed a green tank.

    Ty for sharing. Great tips. I'm making a list so I don't forget anything. I'm thinking about coming out in January. So do you think a sleeping tent is safe with possible coyotes coming in close? Or just leave lights on all around to keep them away? And what about rattlers, terrantulas & scorpions in January?

    • @AdventuringWithAmanda
      @AdventuringWithAmanda  11 месяцев назад +3

      Yes, I do believe sleeping in a tent is safe. I've known plenty of people to do it. Winter is typically when the snakes and scorpions aren't active. Tarantulas aren't an issue.

    I love your content and how helpful it is. I am wondering if you could cover other desert pests. Scorpions, Tarantula’s, Rattle Snakes and other wild life. I would want to do what I could to keep these things from getting in my Van, or in the case of snakes, having them hold up in shady areas created by my Van. I live in Texas but have manger to avoid a Scorpion sting and do not want my first in a desert area far away from Medical Facilities. When you keep food in your. An do you have issues with Coyotes trying to get in etc. I understand you can not cover everything people ask but if you can fit any of these into your content that would be great. No one ever talks about these things so perhaps it is not an issue.
