@23:20, Des mentions a prophesy component that "drops out"... re: when the abomination of desolation appears and you're on the roof, don't go down into the house, go down the side. I can still envisage a possible exegesis of that statement with regard to worldly possessions (going into the house), possibly that we're not to do as Lot's wife did, and mourn the loss of our possessions. Indeed, when you consider the fact that the more you own, the less free you are, there something there, in my very humble opinion.

Why do you say Babylon from the North ?
Israel is the location reference which is South of Babylon. South of Israel is Egypt East is desert so east winds are hot blowing winds. West of Israel is the Mediterranean. So invasions come from either the North from Assyria or Babylon or South from Egypt. Greece and Rome eventually have taken over various areas. Biblical imagery uses Babylon for any power foreign to Israel.
