Are there people who feel the same when they listen to this song.
I'm feeling nostalgic. I was born in 1976 and I'm listening now to my favorite music from my teenage years on youtube. Like this one. Songs like this remember me of a happy and less complicated time. It gives such a strange nostalgic feeling. An epic and happy feeling but also sad because it remembers me of a time that will never return!

This is the song that got me into techno. Heard it at a Tower Records when I was 16. It spoke to me in a way that a song never did before, and I was hooked. Recently, when my dad heard me listening to this tune, he replied, "I thought you would outgrow this by now."

Aah the early days of (pre)techno. Beautiful. Back when music was real - even electronica. There really was something in the air - a tension, an energy, an excitement of what was coming, what this was building up into (the great rave-age of the early-mid 90s in Europe). I experienced it all, from London underground raves to partying with Sven Väth in the legendary Frankfurt Omen, to 10x Love Parades in Berlin (starting in 1994), and almost as many Maydays. Best time of my life. Will never forget those days. Peace out to 90s Ravers!!

My youth, my dreams, my past ! We used to go to the party after school on Friday and whenever this song came up we used to rush to the dance floor and we would finally dance close to the girl we had seen and watched from a distance and finally get the chance to make our move cause almost everyone in the room would be on the dancefloor when the dj played this beautiful song. We would forget our worries and dance like there is no tomorrow, we would simply enjoy the song, our dance and the butterflies in our belly when we moved to the girl we had spotted. Alcohol was a welcome supplement but we would never ever drink till we dropped max 2-3 glasses no drugs were ever involved just music, dance and the girl we liked ! Simple but perfect. Now, as a middle aged person I get a small smile whenever I listen to this song and enjoy my beautiful memories !

My friends and I use to have a Thursday night ritual called "club Dave".. it was named after me.. God knows why i deserved such recognition. it was a genius idea nonetheless and it still resonates today. In my bedroom every Thursday night wed play "rhythm is a dancer" in the dark and soon after that rumors would start and additional people would include themselves in our weekly routine.
We'd hit the CBD of the clubbing district of Sydney with assorted drug use ranging from alcohol to elicit drugs every Thursday night we'd venture off into new avenues of drug use. Nowadays we still talk about how things were and wish we could revisit them. But as you get older there is sadly no return... life moves on but memories never fade! After that our clubbing/Raving years eventuated and developed. Some of us moved on and some of us remained in a transitional state..

      TheRubberStudiosASMR that's not pop, it's dance/techno/eurobeat/eurodance.
Fuck off pop from that time where Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys etc but not this.

Bruce Wayne It's the art of the music that keeps them immortal. Their souls will always exist to reflect on other beings. This is the known fact that keeps me living. Being an artist I know I will never truly be dead.

Old School Electronica sweet heart... If the 90s is "retro" I'm fucking old then....

    • @Mintyoreos
      @Mintyoreos 10 лет назад +9

Katie Speed This is still considered retro. This video has been on Much More Music on the retro view viewing show. This is pop, not electronica. 90's electronica is a lot different then this. This is considered "popular" music of it's time. I am just a music enthusiast, not here to insult another generation. Feel open to correcting me with some logic supporting your claim.

ShoeLaccey Mintyoreos Staecey Nope. Electronica. Or what was also grouped into "Club". This is before they had separate genres for house, drum n bass, etc. Just because it reached mass success does not mean it's pop. We support as fact, it having lived it and being generally "old and retro".

    Rhythm is a dancer
    It's a soul's companion
    You can feel it everywhere
    Lift your hands and voices
Free your mind and join us
You can feel it in the air
    Ooh, it's a passion
Ooh, you can feel it in the air...
    Ooh, it's a passion
    Ooh, ooh, ooh, oh
    Rhythm is a dancer
    It's a soul's companion
    You can feel it everywhere
    Lift your hands and voices
Free your mind and join us
You can feel it in the air
    Ooh, it's a passion
Ooh, you can feel it in the air...
    Ooh, it's a passion
    Ooh, ooh, ooh, oh
Let the rhythm ride you, guide you
Sneak inside you, set your mind to
Move to it's pulsation, bass vibration, synth sensation
Pause, it's not in place, see
Mind and body must be free to...
    Please take it all in...
    Nothing to lose, everything to
    Win, but it controls you
Holds you, molds you, back to older
    New, touch it, taste it
Free your soul and let it face you
Got the beat what you wanna
If the groove don't get ya the rifle's gonna
I'm serious as cancer when I say: "Rhythm is a dancer"
    Rhythm is a dancer
    It's a soul's companion
    You can feel it everywhere
    Lift your hands and voices
Free your mind and join us
You can feel it in the air
    Ooh, it's a passion
Ooh, you can feel it in the air...
    Ooh, it's a passion
    Ooh, ooh, ooh, oh
