Good video again for the basic setup! Love to see a follow up on how to integrate with Nextcloud or how to best manage Photoprism with an existing share which already has years of photo's in separate folders. Anyway, keep up the good work!
@@vladoportos what you could do is make the base folder of NextCloud and .ignore file structure for each non picture base folder if you want everyone's pictures in a base PhotoPrism
Been using this for a business, the sales guys can quickly find past sales that match new customers desires and locations of the install! love the idea of having it local!
I spent a considerable amount of time setting up PP with MariaDB a year or so ago and then even more time training the face recognition only to have something subsequently "break" not long afterwards. The Docker image fires up but the web gui won't come up. I spent a couple hours trying to dig through logs, forums, etc in the hopes of finding and resolving the issue but ultimately gave up. Maybe I'll get around to it again at some point but, based on the time and effort spent already, I have no current plans to. Kudos to the devs for all of their efforts -- it seems like it could be a really great solution for people who are more savvy and not requiring a turnkey solution.
Can we get a video of setting up PhotoPrism with the preferred mariadb setup (which photoprism has no instructions for) and instructions for integrating in with nextcloud would be the cherry on top!
I know I am 10 months late but for future goers, I used his video to set up another database in MariaDB (I already had a nextcloud database) and was able to add the credentials in the field he mentions in this video and it worked. ruclips.net/video/Wz0DxfkCXGg/видео.html
Thank you for your videol. I tried following your mariadb video , and then to add photoprism in unraid(instead of using the built in sqlite) but I cannot get it to work. Can you help link the instructions for both somewhere for a newbie like myself?
thank you for the video. I have now installed photoprism. As soon as I start Prism the page wants a user or password. Which user and password do I have to enter
Im not sure what I did wrong. I followed the video, setup at password, but when I try to login I get "invalided Credential". Is the username not "admin" anymore? I just use the build in database as in the video
Is there a way to get PhotoPrism to look at all your folders in Pictures and just create an album for each folder? Uploading manually is a monumentus task if you have, let's say, 300 folders already sorted on your Unraid server I've already got a few hundred folders full of photos, PhotoPrism should be able to recognize that and simply import. Seems like common sense no?
Maybe it would help for people to know that the delete picture option is only available based on a monthly subscription. Other than that it seems like an interesting app, I will give it a try.
Anyone any idea how well this will handle Apple iphoto/photos libraries? There's a lot to be said for de-googling, but de-apple-ing is more what I need to do! Cheers
Im got everything running but cant upload photos over webdav for some reason. I setup cloudflare and i guess this is the reason why i cant log in any help here?
Photoprism hung my unraid server. I couldn't clean shutdown, I had to do a hard shutdown. Now I'm in parity-check for 24 hours. I'm probably going to delete it if it cant handle NEF files. Maybe its my setup I dunno.
Have someone got it working in unraid (or other docker env) with Nvidia tensorflow labeling? Or with h264_nvenc ? I got it all running in the cotainer but photo prism only use my cpu…
Thank you for the guide, that helped a lot. I am just trying unraid for the first time and Photoprism would be a great tool to reign in my library. I cannot find a way to change the import size limit. There seems to be a way to configure it in the docker compose.yml but that file does not seem to exist on unraid. Any ideas?
Not directly that i know of but you can sync your phone to next cloud or Plex and point photoprism to that folder. Would accomplish what you want and also give 2 places to see your photos.
Thanks! I'm trying to decide between PhotoStructure and PhotoPrism, as both seem good, but with a slightly different feature set at the moment. Will give both a spin.
@@BUDM4N789 I never got an answer, but I ended up using Synology Photos as a safe backup, but i’ll still be implementing something like this as the “viewer”. There are also a ton of new software like this.

there are others too
There's plenty of them! Happy to hear some suggestions?
@@IBRACORP LibrePhotos, Piwigo, Photonix, Photoview
@@Just5KY @IBRACORP PhotoStructure
It was good before, but it's now great since they added facial recognition
Video idea: Recommended way to backup all data form UNRAID server to somewhere else (or to another unraid server) :D

Thanks for watching Martin, glad to have ya.
Good suggestion I'll have it noted
Yea same, because our whole family is using nextcloud to automatically sinc photos from phones.
In my use case, I didn’t use WebDAV. I mounted my Nextcloud photos as read only and then ran a cron job every hour to index my photos in user scripts.

Thanks a lot for this video, I installed this docker yesterday following your advices and tutorial, it is really amazing specialy face recognition.
Great to hear!

thank you pal, :) Lez UK
Trying to set this up on Unraid, using a mariadb database, but once I'm done and go to web UI i am getting "unable to connect" error
It you plan to have a large library, SQLite can be to slow. Better to use a full SQL from the beginning.
Using this container for some time, its very Cool ,Thanks for video
Thanks Boris!
I was going to install Photonix but, IBRACORP says PhotoPrism, PhotoPrism it is. lol. Thank you man
No problem! Let us know what you think ☺️ we will have to check out Photonix

archive the photo then delete it. Remember to turn on delete in settings.

Had a look and it looks and feels good but I couldn't find any option to create additional users so have deleted it.
Is there an android/iOS app for phone that'll sync all my photos video from gallery to photoprism ?
how secure is this if I were to put this on my computer and I want to access the files remotely?
For anyone trying to install it today and not working. I resolved the issue by setting the Network Type to "host".
First thing Ive noticed was this network type difference in video. Thanks for confirmation!
I would be curious about the link sharing, next cloud is somewhat clunky.
I'd love to know how to install this on Truenas Core.
Thanks for the great idea! We'll throw it in our Discord community and see what happens. Feel free to join anytime!
Does anyone know how to enable the dark theme (dark mode skin)?

Do you have a link to the compose file? You should be able to do it manually within Unraid easy enough if you can do that in docker compose.

Not too sure on this one sorry mate

Yes, this is key if Prism is supposed to replace Google Photos. I'm still looking for a solution with UNRAID, hoping for ideas?
Photosync on android now supports photoprism.
What are those three icons with the numbers on the far right of your unRAID header?
That's the Summarized notification option. You can find it in notification settings
