I got all these guys using a piece of lettuce after a week of rotting on top of the pond water. Your footage is incredible!

Damn this looks so fantastic. Great job Craig! My girlfriend and I did some macro photography in the past and now plan to start astro photography (we want to buy the Skywatcher Newtonian 254/1000 quad with a NEQ6-Goto for that) and maybe also micro photography as our new hobby. May I ask if pictures in that quality can be achieved with a microscope system that a "normal" person stil can afford? I have no idea if we talk about big sums or huge sums here. Also I have no clue if a normal scientific microscope like a Bresser Mikroskop Science ADL 601P which I found in the net would be good enough or if an electron microscope would be needed. I am sure it is an expensive hobby. But wow ... whenever I see pictures and videos of our micro cosmos it just impresses and fascinates me so much. So if - as a passionate hobbyist - I would want to invest in a solid but stil affordable setup which can make descent quality pictures - in which financial range would I have to think? Btw: The music choice for this video was excellent!

As anyone tried to do DIC microscopy using a high-speed camera? Would love to see those ciliary details in slow mo. The quality and fluidity of your clips is so good... I just wonder how it would look like.
