Everyone hating on his free throws and shots attempted in the comments. Did you also hate when Kobe attempted 46 shots in his 81 point game, or when Booker took 40 shots in his 70 point game?
Furthermore, no one cared when Shaq averaged 13 FTA in a game, or that Giannis also averages 10+ FTA every season, because they can’t hit them. Embiid can, so he’s awful for it, apparently.
He also went up against a rookie center on a very young, bad and inexperienced team. Of course he’s going to body them.
Why all this hate? Enjoy the game instead. If you’re not a fan of his playing style (which is fine), then don’t watch his games. But life’s too short to watch something you don’t like, converse about something or someone you don’t like, and to put this much energy into it.

Can't compare fouls on Shaq, he was being fouled on purpose, cause he was a bad ft shooter and it was impossible to stop him in the paint. Similar situation is with Giannis. Nobody wants to foul Embiid on purpose, but he is getting shooting fouls from15 feet, which are often questionable, and still has 12 ft per game, you're literally not allowed to look at this man cause refs will blow the wistle.
When it comes to the hate, remember how much people hated Jokic after wining 2 mvps in a row and was eliminated from the playoffs? Everybody called him a fraud of a player and a stat padder. I don't see why should we spare Embiid from hating, he still didn't show us nothing in the playoffs, and yes he's playing amasing this season and he deserves second mvp, but people will hate and troll him as long as he's ringless.
Great take, except one of the people you mentioned above can do performances like this in the post season.

sixers fan here and its big time getting 70 in the chickenshit league. 70 in the NBA is awesome.. he will get respect when he gets 30 a night in the playoffs. until then this is filler and the main course will be served in APRIL AND MAY.

I gonna say only few thing - 23 free throws. Opposing team did 22 fouls in total. Meaning - almost every single foul called was on Embiid. his % was 58%, which is slightly higher than average center in NBA in this game.
Embiid doesn't just run and dunk like most other centers though... His middy is elite..

70 points in a game of 150 points per team, proves he's a great scorer. That no one plays defense anymore. That his teammates suck, and that He is, absolutely selfish. Trust my own process, my own personal statistics.

The most boring 70 point game ever. Yes they won, yes Embiid's numbers are great, yes he is effective than most of the scorers in the league. But boring! I would prefer to watch MJ s any 30 point game, just to watch his fadeaway, the post up footwork and dunks.
