      Whats a "superstar" by your definition ? One of the best players in the league ? Because those last two years with the Raptors Bosh was certainly a superstar if that's the case. Just because he took a back seat to Wade and Lebron once he got there doesn't mean he wasn't. And you see that will all "big 3s" Someone always has to take a smaller role than what they had before.

      bosh was averaging 25 and 10 LeBron was averaging like 28 7 and 7 and wade was averaging like 26 5 and 4 how is this even an argument he went to a stacked team

      kevin durant going to GSW is way worst than lebron going to miami, lebron had nobody when he was in cleveland in 2010.and miami wasnt stacked before lebron got there in 2010.

      He doesnt seem to get that Durant joining a 73-9 team that beat him in the playoffs is NOT the same as Bron/Wade/Bosh. Wade was bounced out of the playoffs or didnt make it, cant remember. The only scenario that would make the same sense, would be If Lebron went to the Celtics. Thats it.

    • @MidProductionz
      @MidProductionz 7 лет назад +3

      @wise ? Check ur history bro. Lebron didn't build that team. Pat Riley came to Lebron with the offer. So yes, Chris Broussard is right. Lebron just like KD went to an already stacked team. Lebron didn't sign until after Chris Bosh signed, because he wanted to be certain that he was going to a stacked team. Those are real facts.

    • @cooleojordan50

      Wise ? I don't think the warriors were a super team. To me a super team is a team with multiple super stars. They had one super star and two regular stars. so they weren't a super team they just fit together well. Miami had three super stars. Now warriors have two superstars. Draymond and Klay aren't super stars they're just stars.

    Leaving a team because they couldn't put the pieces around you to succeed is different than leaving a team that had the pieces to win, had a 3-1 lead and blew it, and leaving to the team you lost to. Not trying to be disrespectful, but looking at LeBron's and KD's departures as the same is false.

    Broussard's perspective on this issue is a little strange. As far as I can tell all Wright is saying is that Miami were not a great before LeBron, Bosh and Wade teamed up. In contrast Golden State were already a great team before Durant arrived.
    I think Broussard is forgetting how much success Golden State had before Durant arrived. They won back to back MVPs, 1 championship, broke the regular season wins record and came within a few points of winning back-to-back championships. Wright's perspective on this issue is absolutely correct.

    Lebron situation was worst to me he was in a weaker conference and 3 franchise players joined one team in a weak east and after all that he choked in 2011

    • @Vortexnicholas
      @Vortexnicholas 7 лет назад +7

      trevio sewell, ur wrong because lebron left cleveland in 2010, to join 2 other allstars to get a better chance to win a championship, he had nobody in 2010 in cleveland. durant had, westbrook, ibaka and adams, he joined the team that crushed his chances of going to the finals, which is the if u cant beat them join them mentality. which is the weakest move of all time.

    • @Freakfuzions
      @Freakfuzions 7 лет назад +10

      trevion sewell lmao what did the heat accomplish when LeBron left ? let's not forget why they joined forces , the Boston big 3 were the best team in the east at that time. KD already had a championship caliber team and decided to join the team that beat him. that's what makes kds worst , LeBron didn't join Boston he got his revenge. KDs situation is 100% worst

    • @trevionsewell8955
      @trevionsewell8955 7 лет назад +2

      ajc08_ your being incomplete
      First off when Lebron left the heat Chris bosh started to have issues with blood clots and when Lebron left Miami he wasn't the only one ray Allen left Shane battier left and Dwade was banged up the next summer in free agency they got a few pieces and were back in the playoffs and Lebron leaving Cleveland to join up with two franchises players in a weak conference they were the immediate favorites for the title

    • @km8927
      @km8927 7 лет назад +3

      trevion sewell there were three franchise players in Boston as well. LeBron made the big 3 in Miami to beat the Celtics that had kg Paul pierce and ray allen.KD left a contender and went to ride the coattails of0 an already great team that had gone 65-17 and 73-9 without him and gone to 2 straight NBA finals .

      @J P umm.... lets breakdown things here. Lebron came to the Heat with bosh where heat wasn't even in contention going to the finals. miami wasn't as good as GSW (if you want to rebuttal that one feel free to try)
      then KD almost won with 3-1 lead vs the same GSW that he's 2 months later joined in. did Lebron joined the team that beat him? nope...
      and then GSW was 73-9 yes they lost the finals but still they're doing pretty damn amazing yet they still need another firepower... i mean its not about "cavs fans" or not, its like from 50-50 gap (Cavs vs GSW) to 10-90 gap.

    So according to Chris Broussard: Larry Hughes/Mo Williams-Sasha Pavlovic-Drew Gooden- Ilgauskas is equal to Westbrook-Dion Waters(James Harden before)-Serge Ibaka-Steven Adams/Enes Kanter and also Lebron going to a team(Heat), which barely make the playoffs in the east, having only Wade is also equal to KD going to 73 win team, which won the chip previous year, beat him in the Conf finals and barely lost in the NBA finals.

    Chris is just loud. Lebron team in Miami is great because of Lebron. Durant joined a team that won 73 games that was already great. That's the point. • @YoungDen
      @YoungDen 7 лет назад +6

      Bobby DK - That is a very small way to look at it. If it is that easy why didn't Bron stay in Cleveland?? Simply put he has the pull to call his 'Guys' and say let's join together and win championships. Yes I see your point but then you ask yourself this. Did MJ, Magic or Bird do what LBJ did?? And if you ask anyone of those guys they would say in your wildest dreams. So in essence Bron set the table for KD to do what he did

    Broussard is flat out wrong on this subject. The Miami Heat were not "the most stacked team" in the NBA. They may have had the best "Big-3", but they were NOT stacked. They had freakin' Mike Bibby starting at PG and Joel Anthony starting at Center. And their bench was atrocious.
    The Miami Big-3 was an "experiment" that did not change the balance of power in the NBA. The Heat were underdogs against the Celtics & Bulls in the playoffs. There were still 2-3 Western Conference teams with better title odds then the Heat. That Heat team was never expected to reach the Finals in their 1st season. No one believed they could beat BOS & CHI. They didn't become "title favorites" until they beat CHI in the ECF & the Mavs won the WCF.
    That is totally different from KD joining an already established championship team THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN TITLE FAVORITES WITHOUT KD. GS already had a 2-time MVP, 3 All-NBA players, a DPOY candidate, and guys like Iguodala/Livingston/West on the bench. GS's core had already had a 67-win season and won a title, then backed it up with a 73-win season where they lost in gm 7 of the Finals. KD joined THAT team.
    What Lebron did was not even close to what KD did.

      chocolatemilk - No, I get the point. But it's based on a disingenuous premise. His overly-simplified premise is that A) both guys put themselves in the "best possible position" to win championships & B) that both teams (2010-11 Heat & 2016-17 Warriors) instantly became "the most stacked team in the NBA" when LBJ & KD joined them.
      But BOTH PARTS of that premise are false. Here's the real truth:
      1) LBJ/Wade/Bosh actually joined forces to compete against the actual "most stacked team" in the eastern conference, which was BOS. BOS had 4 All-stars (3 future HOF'rs) in their starting five. Plus, BOS had quality role/bench players.
      2) BOS, CHI, LAL, SAS, DAL would have all given LBJ better odds at winning titles than MIA. So LBJ didn't put himself in the best possible situation to win titles. He simply gave himself a real chance to compete for titles. By contrast, KD already had a real chance to complete for titles at OKC. He left OKC to make the GS super team a MEGA super team for the purpose of winning a title without having to compete. That's not what Lebron did at all.
      3) When the Big-3 came together, the Heat weren't even the most stacked team in the Eastern Conference (that was BOS), much less the entire NBA. When KD joined GS, they instantly became, not only the most stacked team in the NBA, but one of the most stacked teams in the history of the NBA.
      It's a joke for Chris to argue that both decisions were essentially the same with slight differences. In reality, those 2 decisions were very different.

    You could compare the two if...
    1.) Miami was one of the best teams the year before
    2.) Cavs had two superstars and the pieces to win a championship
    3.) If Miami eliminated the cavs in the ECF after being down 3-1....
    KEVIN DURANT is the first player in NBA history that joined the "best team in the nba" after losing a 3-1 lead in the WCF to the very team that eliminated the thunder.
    Just imagine kobe losing to the celtics in 08, then joining them in 09....

    Usually agree with brussard but agree with nick on this issue. Bron joined a declining wade and overrated bosh where they really didn't fit that well together. Bron also had nobody at cavs, mo Williams was second best player for gods sake. Kd on the other hand had Russell but he is free to leave and I get it, Westbrook not passing and wanna play hero ball BUT kd joined an all time winning regular team that had just won a chip the year before the last with the best shooting backcourt ever and a 2 time MVP in curry? What?! AND a team that revolutionised the game, how is it the same? Skip is right when he said kd is all time talent but not an alpha, complimentary superstar. Not the same. I like what harden did cause if he wins one ring, it will mean more than kd winning 8. At lease for me.

      Eugene Wright OKC could pay him the most, and Kevin under performed in those last games of the series, and it wasn't because he didn't get enough shots. He just had bad games. If he wants to leave because he thinks Russ is a ball hog, then no problem. But to join a team that beat you is just unfathomable. Never would Michael join the Celtics, or Isiah join the Lakers. No competitor cab even comprehend this. Had lebron joined Boston, I would say the exact same thing.

    I like Chris but he is totally wrong. The "decision" tv special was the worst thing lebron did. He went to a mediocre team and made it great. Durant went to a team that just had the greatest regular season in basketball history. Golden state was historically great before Durant went there. And to top it off Durant went and joined the team that beat him in the western conference finals where Durant ended up choking away a 3 to 1 series lead. I live in Cleveland and will always be a lebron and Cavs fan. That being said I don't believe there is anything the Cavs can do, the warriors are so stacked that I don't believe lebron and the Cavs can defeat the golden state warriors in a 7 game series. However, my last point is that golden state is such a stacked team and is so historically great that if the Cavs lose to the warriors it shouldn't negatively affect lebron legacy in any way.

    Nick should have asked which is worse, cause its clearly Durant. He is worse for what he did. Bringing a all star with LBJ to a barely playoff team to join Wade does not equal immediate success, as the first season showed. It was a gamble, a big gamble. Compared to Durant, if he wins this year, it was no doubt and there is no wow factor if he wins. He joined a winning formula that barely lost the finals, coming from a WINNING team that was competitive with ANOTHER all star and barely lost to the team that barely lost the finals. No matter how you slice it, Durant is worse. And tha'ts the bottom line here. I love hearing Chris talk ball, but he needs to let Nick talk, and hear him out. Its more like he was afraid to let nick talk and just shouted over him and bullied nick into agreeing with him.

      Yeah you get the feeling that Chris is focused on beating Nick in a debate as oppose to stating facts. I stopped listening to Broussard a few years ago, now he's completely unplugged.

    People are just being hypocritical because they are LB fan like Wright. If KD went to another team and LOST, would they praise him for doing thing the right way? or just killing him for moving to another team and still WON NOTHING.
    He wants to win so he moved to the best situation for him.

      It's simple. Lebron CREATED a team by taking Bosh and going to Miami with wade to contend for championship.
      KD JOINED an ALREADY championship team with a 2 TIME MVP! End of discussion lol.

      Andre Bryant what ? Thunder were up 3-1 and one the reasons they lost was because of durant didn't show up when it matter that's the point and I think okc had chance to beat lebron

      @Andre Ricardo Bryant Lebron in 2007 did 48 points vs the best defensive team on that year.. last 25 points of the entire cavs team, 29 of the last 30 points.. do you realize how much burden lebron have to carry on that playoffs series alone?? and then he's only at 21 years old... like come on man... don't say he doesn't show up, IF you're that good like him and win a championship by carrying the team at 21 years old then you can bash him with that criticism

    • @ferryfernandus1423

    the dude made a good point, The Warriors of last year could go head to head with many of the great teams. They would lose to teams like Jordans Bulls but they could beat teams like The 08 Celtics and the 04 Pistons but it's stupid to think that the 16 Warriors aren't one of the greatest teams ever constructed.

    The starting center for Golden State would have been Anderson Varejao at the time of KD's signing. His back up would have been rookie Damian Jones. And they lost their two biggest offensive threats from their bench in Speights and Barbosa. As well as both guys who started at SF for the majority of the year (Barnes and Rush), AND both guys at center (Bogut and Ezeli). KD didn't join the team that won 73 games. He joined the franchise that had a team that won 73 games the year before, but six players left. They were lucky to get DWest and Zaza, and JaVale was the last roster spot. Saying that it's unfair for KD to join a 73 win team is the same thing as saying LeBron joined a championship team when he went to Miami.

    Durant not only joined a team that didn't really need him, it was the same team that eliminated them from going to another championship down by 1-3, AND left a team that was already a title contender. Had he joined any other team he would have still been cheered. He isn't going to "win" a championship, he's hitching a ride to a team that's favored to win it anyway.
