Awakened Mind he’s done one
There were zero takedowns in this fight. Eddie is BJJ coach not striking. I reckon, they should have just waited for Khabib fight. Now it's sad that they probably wouldn't fight soon.
Tony needs to break his relationship with these coaches and get a new team. They aren’t serving his needs, just cheerleaders.
Tony just didn't want to take him down which he should have from round 2 as he was simply getting owned..Eddie prob told him if it gets to heated don't trade too much as gaetje can take hits...silly tony.
Domenic Galata 100% agree
day and night difference between gathje and Ferguson’s corner advice. Tony should have tried some jujitsu in rounds two or three but he didn’t even try to initiate any groundwork regardless of Justin’s wrestling.

All I'm saying is, look into it.
I love the change in demeanour at 2:11 Gaethje being very jubilant and almost carefree, and in the space of 3 seconds Trevor Whittman refocuses him on the task at hand, this one moment removed the last remaining chances of Tony winning, such a great moment
Can't be easy coaching someone like Justin. He's such a mad lad who seems to just get more and more hyped the longer a fight goes. Whittman's a genius.
He’s like a baby with bombs and cannonballs strapped to his hands. Wild man.

Eddie Bravo's corner advice was one thing: useless

Tony is a fool he shouldnt of took the fight cutting weight 2times in a month. Ive watched most of Tony fights he clearly had a off night. He usually has more output and cardio I'm not Tony whose bias
Maybe tony's coach needs a new fighter ,tony need to retire
DARTH VADER it wasn’t a problem with his cardio it was his movements and he was taking to many hits
Wow, this is embarrassing. What is Eddie Bravo doing cornering Ferguson in a predominantly striking match, with little to no ACTUAL advice.
Steven Sullivan jiu jitsu was exactly what he needed to win that fight, no way tony could have outstruck Justin even with his striking coach’s advice.
Planned for khabib
It's not like tony made any use of his ground skills or wrestling skills anyway tony never looked in any urgency to change the fight or try different things most of the fight he just waited and kept eating shots

Tony essentially coaches himself and trains himself. he's one of those solo fighters
@Steve Jobs He said go for an imanari roll, that's probably the worst thing he could do. He went for the roll and Gaethje just stepped out the way.
Wilder's was actually better, at least they threw in the towel when it should of been stopped. I know that Tony is the type of guy that would of been furious at his corner stopping the fight, but around Rd 4 was when the fight reached a point where Tony could not come back from. All Rd 4&5 did was shorten his career when he is 36 years old and still needs to fight for a real champ belt.

Tony's corner kept gassing him up instead of making him realize the urgency of the situation. Justin's corner kept him grounded and completely shut off Tony's momentum. Tony not committing to a team finally caught up to him tonight - a man can only do so much on his own.
He was beaten asf but his corner still saying: "Show me the sands."
One thing that I don't like about his style is that he's willing to take shoots and go full brawl just to proof a point... Eventually it will cost him by smarter opponents. Honestly I don't see this kind of style can win against highly technical and calculated fighter like khabib.
This will take a long time for Tony to recover from this fight physically and emotionally....in large part due to his extraordinary chin and conditioning.when khabib backed out Tony's corner should of steered him away from a fighter he was ill prepared for...
I agree however I dont think it's in Tony's vocab to back out. Personally I think he just wanted to enhance his repuation and continue this tough man aura he and others have built for him...
They like a lot of people probably bought into Tony's hype. Tony's LW career has been fighting nothing but volume strikers and two decent wrestlers with his best win being RDA. Gaethje did to Tony what Michael Johnson did to Tony, literally, as it was the same combinations that were tagging. Brendan Dorman was right when he said that Tony hadn't improved in years. That is the second power puncher he lost against.
ANd Khabib didn't back out. Russia is under quarantine and with April 18th canceled dude is rightfully observing his religious duties. Tony could have waited but as he said, he wanted to beat Gaethje and use the win to call out McGregor and bypass Khabib.

ADGO 😂😂😂
Yes look at him checking her out lol
Lol i dnt think he promised him anything. Probably told him hes about to be a interim champ or is ahead on cards
self actualization right there, flying off a peak and taking in all that's good
Almost everyone is giving tony excuses. How about Justin is badass striker?
Striker?
@@Pacifica1 boxer
I think the main reason why Tony lost is because he was focusing exclusively on grappling in the past several months, instead of striking and defense. He always seemed JUST out of range to strike Justin, while Justin is just quicker on the feet and is a better counter-puncher. Efficient. No extra movements. Great job by Justin.
Moral of the story - Stay away from flat earthers
Better than globeheads
Tony's trainer: stop using your face to block his punches
hahah
Big Justin fan! Likeable guy!
Naw not a likeable guy
Digital PayDay was a fan of both before this fight didn’t want to see either of them lose
Who said Coaching doesnt matter? Trevor Whitman is one of the best in the game and shows it every time
Trevor Wittman is the MVP on this fight
Tony looks like he just fought Tony.
@@Stealth-hi1vx Bro we have like the same first name.
Tony Ferguson the type of guy to wear a dress just so eddie bravo can say your looking beautiful.
Tony VS Nate for the “ultimate chin champion” title
I knew this would happen, I wrote it everywhere on MMA world and on other channels.
Tony get hit to much in all of his fights, when he fights someone who has power to his strikes, he will be in trouble.
But what I dont get is, why didn't he try to pull muay thai clinch, or any elbows at all.
When someone goes for the power shot like Justin did, it's easy to use the step-in-elbow. Like Kattar did against Stephens previous fight.
I think Tony Ferguson was burnt out, but he is too stupid to realize it himself lol.
I think nate takes it masvidal hits harder than justin
Trevor is the greatest mma coach hes so great with his fighters i love this dude
That thumbnail hurts gaethje having the time of his life while tony gets everything taken away from him
He got a little distracted @ 2:24
damn..are u lucifer?!

I've always admired trevor wittman.. he's a genius!
Miguel Anghel he‘s rose namajunas‘s head coach too. He cornered her in her both wins over Johana. The guy knows his stuff very well. I would say he‘s the best in the business right now from a coaching standpoint.

@@jalal3254 Javier ain't that good at coaching. He might be a good trainer but not as good as Trevor when it comes to coaching. There is a difference between being a trainer and a coach. That's my own opinion.
@@ayoubmerzak1733 well said, sir. 👍

2:16 Wow!!Great Coach
I am fan of khabib, but don't know why am I crying for Toni Fergusioon
I feel like Tony Ferguson is such a DIVA that his corner and team are too scared of him to give him any criticism. His attitude makes him unapproachable and in fear that he might snap or flip out his corner just consoles him rather than give anything of substance whereas Justin's corner is unloading on him and giving him reality checks every time he sits in the corner. By the time Tony was ready listen in round 4 he was already beaten and no longer in the fight.
He mostly trains by himself, without a coach, his cornermen don’t have with him the type of close relation that other fighters have with their team.
1:24 that's the moment he realised it would be a tough fight
no more trying to act tough with standing after round........ with beat up leg.
The best Tony's corner had was "looking beautiful"
Throw some sand
I respect tony a lot but Justin was showing sportsmanship and tony just pushed him away
Gaethje's corner: "don't forget to touch, low kick"
Eddie B: "throw some sand baby"
