As you were working on the spinner, I had an AHA moment and realized what was coming next with slipping it over and then dapping.

Beautifully simple instructions. I'm using 20 gauge. When I use the dap I split open the joint. The seam was solid,but I'm wondering if the gauge is too heavy.

I have a friend who bent her ring (the inside spinners are the worst part bent). I figured I'd have to somehow unbend the one end to slip the spinners off, reshape them on my mandrel, then dap the end back. Is this what you would suggest or is unbending that end impossible? Thank you for your help in advance. I always appreciate your metalsmith wisdom.
Your videos are great, always so clear to see what your doing. What size was the dapping punch you used for the spinner ring? I have been looking to buy a dapping set but they all sound to small, 30mm being the largest. Thanks

This may be a stupid question. But you use that calibrator a lot in your videos. I've never seen or used one, but it would obviously be very helpful to have. Where did you buy it??

So I have a question regarding the maths, does it work the same way for D-shaped wire? Mine is 4mm wide and 2mm high, so is the length (outer diameter + 2mm) x 3.14 + 1mm?
Soham, I love your videos Please never stop making them :) I have a strange question. Here is challenge! Is it possible to add a spinner (inner ring) after the the outside edges have been flared? My concern was trying to solder the ends of the spinner it would end up attachingto the main ring. Or maybe just scrap it and start over :)
give it a try. coat the main ring with ocre, white out, or rouge to keep the smaller ring from sticking. place the solder joins 180 degrees apart. you have nothing to lose and you might learn something. i recon failure is good, it is always educational.;-)

sounds doable, but anneal before trying to bend anything

yes, it doesnt matter what the shape is, it is the thickness that is critical. you have it right

22 guage would be better, when i used 20, mine split too.
