Aki, thanks for documenting as much as you have. I am curious if your engine 'didn't last' and died from oil starvation? Did you have any baffles? I am currently making one for my M10 so I would love to know :)
thanks! I did have 84mm storke crank and bored block with 92mm mahle pistons. I just like carburetors :D i actually did have electronic standalone waste spark ignition with this setup. I did sold this engine as it didn´t last in drifting use... im now K24 swapping this thing if you like that kind of stuff go chek out our channel -> ruclips.net/channel/UCt3hOlTOY82gflX_U1_qxVA

baskeez Nice! It was ”M Sport” crank made by finnish Bmw dealer back in the days 😁 I don’t have build thread on this but it was basicly storked 10.4:1 compression, 304 degree cam, stiff valve springs and ported head. Then there was also sidedrafts and full stainles steel exhaust 😁
It was orginally with pierburg carburator. They sold it as ” 316 ” model which was cheapest option of E30 you can get. But i actually didn’t have stock ignition system on this. : )
I believe not and even with fully build engine like this was you will struggle to get decent seat time :D That’s why im currently K swapping this thing. If you are interested go chek it out on Rush D channel : )

Sick thirty 👌🏻 How did you get to 2.3l? Bored block and m10b20 crank? Why sidedrafts and not injection and standalone ECU?

is there a cheap way build m10, i can find 80mm crank only, i was thinking m60 m62 rods and pistons but big end of the rod is shorter
