Menstruation is not just physical!!! There is a psychological periodicity in women's life. It is essential in my creative life. Before I am very tense, I make great plans, but would not start to do anything. When the flow starts I get very calm and start realising my plans. I don't know how anyone could create without this periodicity.
I know right? Why is a respectful, small acknowledgement of the diversity of human experience so outrageous... I'm a woman who menstruates and personally I do not feel impacted in the slightest by the shifting language around periods. Inclusivity is a good thing
I'm going crazy. I listened to this podcast over a week ago, commented (there were dozens and dozens), and even shared it with a friend (yesterday). What happened?
Probably had to erase all the negative comments on this persons unwillingness to acknowledge women for what they are and claiming that “those who menstruate” there are more beings than women or female mammals who menstruate. Woke psychosis
The female sex. Female is not a gender. It is a sex. Feminine is a gender and while men can be feminine they cannot be female and therefore can be women (adult female humans). I think its genuinely disrespectful to women to erase that _we_ are the ones who experience menstruation and childbirth and to insinuate that our biology is not a big part of who we are and the day to day experiences that we have (including the oppression that has historically and presently been unique to female people and affected us on the basis of sex). We dont have bodies, we _are_ our bodies. We're not floating minds with bodies .
If you can “call a spade a spade” you can also call a woman a woman. Not saying it is as disrespectful as some of the ignorant things you report on as mensturation ignorance.
1:50 Why must you disrespect women by suggesting our biology does not shape our lives? We are women because we were born into it. We didnt choose or identify our way into our physical experience and we can't identify out of it. Our bodies absolutely shape who we are and the physical and social experiences we've lived through. At what point did you have an experience without your body?

Women are magical beings ❤
This is a great episode. Thank you!
Honestly, saying women menstruate is not disrespectful at all. It is a biological fact.
I think she meant Trans men and non binary prople also menstruate even if they dont identify as a woman
why are all the comments on this video from the wrong side of the internet…

I wanted to listen until I heard that disclaimer. I’m good.

🕯️🤌🏿This was beautiful thanks 💄🍷🍰
A woman has 2 X chromosomes and therefore only she is capable of menstruation….don’t be afraid to say it🎉
Can’t wait to hear about who else menstruates besides the female humans and some animals also of the female gender
Exactly, female erasure. Girls and women bleed.
