Does anyone know if Tyson is allowed to use TRT? I'm on TRT rn and at 47 I'm stronger than my 25 yo self and while my cardio isn't as good as it used to be I still managed to run a marathon in under 5 hours in January. I know 57 isn't 47 but 57 on TRT is probably equivalent to 42 without TRT, it's definitely a game changer! Medical technology has changed aging for those who can afford it, stem cells etc, look how incredibly fit LeBron is at 38! Times have changed.

He didn’t look like much but he was fit as a fiddle and he hit like a truck, he gave us all good work in the rounds. He was a self admitted journeyman & he still had enough..

one thing I know about athletics and getting old: you go to the gym like you always you do and one day you realize you've lost something. a little speed, strength, endurance, can't move a certain way anymore, whatever, and you think, I can get that back, all I have to do is work harder. then, a few months later, after working harder, you realize, nope, that's gone forever. and so it goes with each passing F'n year.
When I was 55 I did a 400 lb deadlift, 300 lb back squat, 19 strict pullups, and a 500 m row in 1:32. Very few men of any age could beat all of those numbers. I don't think you know much about athletics. It's all about how hard you train.

I get the age concerns obviously, but is it not possible or even probable that Tyson at 58 will do better than he did at 54 vs Jones Jr. If I remember his interview with Joe Rogan, Tyson hadn't worked out or trained for years/decades prior to the Roy Jones Jr fight. However as of now he's been training consistently for a few years so despite his age surely he'll be in better shape as a more fit 58 year old than 54.
