Living in Ontario so thanks for heads up about Watertower Textiles. Can hardly wait to see your completed Gilbert dress. Love your flowy dress. Enjoy your anniversary date!
I am watching your review of this and as a woman of similar shape I wanted to let you know I adore , appreciate your reviews and makes. Being an central canuck you post useful fabric stockists. Keep doing what you are doing.
I love the project bag idea. Karina from Lifting Pins and Needles frequently uses different fabrics for her inside yokes, etc. I think it is a brilliant idea! Your Pattern Emporia sun dress is stunning. Happy Anniversary to you and your husband. When I was a young girl in Texas the rodeo was a huge event. We all got new Western clothes, we had school holiday for 1 1/2 days, street dancing, fair rides, etc. I know it is wonderful in Calgary. Enjoy!
Thanks for the info on the Gilbert dress hack. I am currently sewing the Gilbert top so it is nice to see other options for the pattern. I look forward to see yours finished.
Love that dress, beautiful colour. I did the cardi pattern because we are in winter here in nz. Love the cardi!! I made it in a red sweatshirting type fabric. I want to make another. Highly recommend. My two daughters are in Calgary atm visiting my sister. They said it’s been hot. Soon I’ll switch and do the summery cami patterns 😃🇳🇿🇨🇦
I love the pink fabric dress, it looks amazing on you; both the style and the color are perfect for you. Can’t wait to see the finished shirt type dress, love the fabric. Just an FYI, I live in a big rodeo town and I’ll bet there are plenty of people from here that attend your rodeo/country fair there In Alberta. Enjoy your mini vacay with hubby. It’s important to get away just the two of you once in a while. Take care😊
I had already bought the pattern but was a bit concerned about how It would fit me. However, I love how you look in that dress! I am going to make one...or a few.
That stampede sounds like so much fun! Never heard of it in Calgary before! I’ve just got the Gilbert pattern (I won it! Yay) so looking forward to making it, and a dress hack sounds lovely!
You look amazing in that dress! With your dress and camisole, I do find the straps very intimidating! Do you think they can be done on a regular sewing machine? And thanks for mentioning the elastic inside, that explains how it can have such resilience . Those project bags looked great so I have just ordered them. Sometimes I miss the season after cutting a project, and have to sew it the following year, and this will keep it together and clean!
Hi, I watched a lot of the videos about the heartstrings dress and have been on the fence to buy the pattern, but your version finally convinced me. You look awesome in your dress, such a beautiful make.
Hello! I suggested on an earlier video that there might be an issue with your audio. FYI this one is coming through loud and clear! If you tweaked it somehow, it worked! If the issue was at my end, it’s gone! Either way, I’m one happy viewer. Thanks and happy sewing!
Love your dress! The print is beyond gorgeous! You are going to get a ton of use out of your cami this summer! btw how did you get this uploaded yesterday, you must not have Rogers!! lol All of Ontario was out that had Rogers service! Happy 10th! Enjoy yourself, but not too much or you are going to make a habit out of it! lol
Hi. Love your dress. Please send me your favourite fabric stores where I can buy nice fabric. I live in Michigan USA. One of your videos had a fabric for a mens tshirt but I can not find that name of fabric or the fabric store you buy it from. I think you made a tshirt for yourself. Thank you so much.
Thank you! What a quick response! I also appreciated you mentioning Watertown Textiles - I’m always on the lookout for Canadian fabric stores that are reasonable. I had never heard of them. The dress looked lovely. Greetings from Victoria! 😊
Very pretty and colorful shelfbra dress...loving the Gilbert top too.
Good fit makes such a difference. And of course your fabric choices enhance the pattern. Nice!

I like to use the plastic bags that sheets come in. They work out really nice as project bags.

What is the exact size of the mesh bags? They looked quite large on your video.
The ones I bought are A3 paper sized, 11-3/4 x 16-1/2 in.
