Really is rare to find the complete collection. I remember when they were sold years ago. As I recall, they were offered through ads in magazines and Sunday paper inserts.
Hope to feature my holiday table next month. Seems that most viewers prefer thrift shopping, though I love to share tablesetting tips. Thanks for your comment.
What a fun shopping trip, and what an amazing shop! Love all the handcrafted items, especially the paintings and the repurposed jewelry pieces. The 'O Holy Night' piece is truly sweet and so special. Prices in the shop are so reasonable! Thank you for taking us along!
Hi MaryBeth, what an awesome store. I really appreciate all the hand made, hand painted pieces. I loved the jewelry art ! That $5 strawberry pitcher was cute. Thanks for taking us on your visit I enjoy shopping vicariously with you. Have a great Thanksgiving day.
I always love going to the vintage shops with you. This one had some wonderful items. I didn't think the prices were to bad. You found some wonderful items to take home with you.
I always enjoy your videos; it is interesting to see and learn about the items you point out in each shop. When you came to the dressing table, I had to smile, as I have a similar one that was in my bedroom while growing up, and is still in our daughter’s room. It has a clear glass topper rather than a mirror, though, so I will keep that idea in mind. Also, the wood Florentine tray you mentioned in this video is quite similar to one we received as a wedding gift from a friend. Thanks for giving me an extra smile today from seeing items that are currently part of my life! 😊
Memory Lane! I had a dressing table in high school that was actually a built-in desk. My mother made a cover with Waverley fabric to create the look. I miss it!
Love the teacups with the aqua stripe! (Just in front of the blue willow plates) I have a thing for aqua - I've not seen that pattern before. I do enjoy discovering new things. So thanks for that. That's 2 patterns now that I'm searching for😊
My grandmother worked at the Chattanooga Bakery where they made Moon Pies. She was great friends with the ladies she worked with. We had the old 78 rpm record of “Give me an RC Cola and a Moon Pie.”
I have a pig in the kitchen. My cow painting has a personal story for me. I love the chickens painting. My mother had the cut out tablecloth and blue embroidery. I guess I will have to come to Tennessee to thrift shop. I live in Illinois.
My mother has the complete set of the Lenox spice houses, and she does not fill them with spices, hers are filled with wrapped chocolates and wrapped candies. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Hi lady Mary Beth ,looked forward to seeing you ,I love love the shop ,I could buy so much ,ha well I do in my head .Sending love Ann 🇬🇧 xxx♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Jewel tea, all our Moms and Grandmas had that, I received a bowl and a casserole in that pattern from family, you remind me that I need to get the bowl out to put apples in for Thanksgiving decor. Oh Holy Night sung by a wonderful tenor voice is my favorite too. Nice shop.
Thank you Mary Beth for letting me tag along on this shopping excursion. Enjoyed all the great finds. I love putting “old” things back into use. I smiled seeing the Jewel Tea Autumn Leaf dishes. My dad was one of those salesmen who drove door to door selling Jewel Tea wares from the classic brown truck. This was in the early 1950s. Jewel Tea eventually became a supermarket chain in greater Chicago where I live. My mother had a set of the Autumn Leaf. So happy to see them on your channel. Looking forward to your Christmas tablescape video.
What a fun shop with me! You got some wonderful things and their prices were amazing. I was impressed with the jewelry art pieces...what a clever idea! Hugs, my friend!
The idea to use a vintage soap dish, for example, to hold shortbread or other small treats, makes use of an otherwise ordinary item in a fun and interesting way. Ideas like that help shake the dust off of my brain cogs and cause me to re-think how to use what I have. Thanks!
There's a couple mercentile shops in town too. One of the shops only sells items made by local vendors. Go to Las Fiesta's for some good mexican food or Maple Street Grill for Americana. In a few months we'll have a nice local owned coffee shop too.
Have been to Maple Street Grill (twice) and Las Fiestas and they are both great dining spots! Filmed at the Mercantile and will share later this month. A day in Eagleville is such fun!
Could be enjoyed as a table cover, especially at a vintage wedding. Another suggestion is to place over a blanket ladder or repurpose into a window treatment.
How's about that lidless sugar bowl used for pineapple jam? The colour would be perfect and a chunky jam needs a bigger vessel. Perfect for breakfast. Ideas, Ideas, Ideas x
What! You didn't purchase that blue and white tea pot? Whatever were you thinking? I grew up with a similar kidney shaped dressing table. My mother made a skirt for it out of the same fabric as the curtains in our bedroom! (My sister's and mine) Any time I see a "perfect" Christmas item (Santa, Snowman, Nativity or Angel), I purchase it if I can, regardless of the time of year. Was this footage from your last recent trip to Tennessee, or did you go back? Because you travel so much, it would be helpful for us "older folks" if you could tell the date of the video so we can keep track of your whereabouts. Inquiring minds want to know! (NO, we're not stalking you! It's just helpful!) 😹🤗 Thanks for the shopping video.....
I know! It was just overwhelming to think about getting purchases home. Shipped three boxes and checked an extra suitcase. The teapot was a deal and I hope that someone will enjoy it. If it's there on my next visit, will definitely get it!
The angel painting I love.
A treasure trove of goodies.🥰
It really is! Thanks for coming along on the Tennessee shop visit.
Love that Lennox spice jar collection--thanks for showing that. I wish now that I collected them at the time when they were being offered.
Really is rare to find the complete collection. I remember when they were sold years ago. As I recall, they were offered through ads in magazines and Sunday paper inserts.

You have a good eye! I was focused on the cobalt cake stand and Sadler teapot.
My grandmother worked at the Chattanooga Bakery where they made Moon Pies. She was great friends with the ladies she worked with. We had the old 78 rpm record of “Give me an RC Cola and a Moon Pie.”

Sold starting in 1901 through salesmen and mail order catalogs. Neat that you have some Autumn Leaf pieces. Perfect for Fall!

It's fun seeing what others do with otherwise discarded items. Had to bring the pumpkin jewelry art home. Lots of ideas here in this shop!
❤️

Maximize and multi-purpose your items. I gave this soap dish to my step-mother and we did use it on her tea table while I was in Tennessee.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
You are sweet to show other stores but I miss you finding things that you really like your self. Do you understand me? Your touch of your way is great
Just wait until the Triple Thrift holiday edition launches Thanksgiving weekend. You won't believe what I find!

I would love to hear your ideas on using an unfinished crocheted bedspread. It was my mother-in-law’s and I have treasured it for 50 years.

I collect tea pot my kids already claim them
Glad your kids have such interest in your teapots. Awesome!

Great idea!! Pineapple jam would be great on scones.
Lady Mary Beth and Walkers shortbread for tea! You know I love that. That also has my name on it;-)

Please tell me you saved the colbolt blue cake stand for yourself. It's so rare.
I hand carried it home for my friend Keri, a cake baker. 🎂
Lady Mary Beth why don’t you mail your pieces home. I always did that when shopping at American girl store just before Xmas.
I mailed three big boxes home. 📦
