    You can shoot RAW or RAW + JPG and have the film simulations applied (on the X100V at least). That way you can change the film simulation after its shot in camera, or via RAW X Studio. I have all the fujixweekly recipes loaded up as presets in RAW X Studio so I can try them all out on existing shots!

    • @olawalesanni2872
      @olawalesanni2872 3 года назад

      Dan Gough the X100V is the newer model but that is they way to go! Shooting on Raw & JPEG to get the simulation and the big files! Do when you bring it in raw it still has the profiles on it?!

    • @dannybuoyuk
      @dannybuoyuk 3 года назад

      @@olawalesanni2872 Yeah, it embeds the settings into the data. If you open the file with Capture One it applies it’s own version of the film simulation I think as it tends to look a little different. I just stick with Fuji X Raw Studio and process everything via the camera though!

  • @IVMTAB
    @IVMTAB 3 года назад +3

    I think if you shoot RAW and post process in software like Lightroom, the film simulations can still be added under Profiles>Camera Matching in Lr.

    • @olawalesanni2872
      @olawalesanni2872 3 года назад

      Even if the profiles have certain settings to it?!

      @@olawalesanni2872 If you have the RAW (DNG or TIFF) files, then I don’t think certain settings will matter.

    Portra 160 recipe requires a daylight white balance. How did you take those amazing pictures sooc jpegs without a brown white balance indoors? (The daylight white balance makes the white balance brownish indoors)

    My one issue with Fujiweekly is that the recipes are sensor specific. I've got an X-H1 and there is no Porta 160 for the X-Trans III. I've tried following the steps for other sensors on the X-Trans III and they just don't come out the same. Any ideas?
