    It is worth noting that this circuit does not provide any isolation from the 230V AC supply which means if you touch any part of the circuit when energised you could receive an extremely painful and dangerous shock from it. Remember that Neutral and Line connections are not guaranteed to be any particular way around. Only use capacitor dropper circuits if you are absolutely sure there is no possibility of anyone coming into contact with any part of the circuit.

      And you should never drop high voltage across a single carbon 1/4 watt resistor. Use at least one in series per hundres volts.

      @@saddle1940 Yeah, I came here to say basically the same thing.
      Firstly, this circuit is not something that electronics beginners should be encouraged to build. If you're learning electronics off RUclips videos there's a good chance you're not aware of how to safely handle mains voltages... and what's worse, the way it's built in the video shows a complete disregard for even the most basic safety precautions.
      Secondly, the version of this circuit shown is a downright dangerous design: there is no fuse, no isolation, no earthing, no enclosure and if that 1/4W carbon film resistor fails it will pass mains voltage to the output.

    При подключении низковольтной нагрузки будет бросок напряжения около 300 вольт, поэтому сначала подключить нагрузку, а потом к сети 220. Иначе будет катастрофа.😊

      Откуда возьмётся бросок 300вольт, если конденсатор запараллелен сопротивлением? Зачем запугивать? Мы хоть и дурны, но разобраться сможем...

      ​@@user-Steppo_Tilli ...только уверен ли автор, что все светодиоды рассчитаны на выходное напряжение (ток) снимаемое с сопротивления, есть 3В, 5В, и еще где взять разные напряжения не понял, показывает одни элементы, которых в схеме нет, вообще такие схемы собирали в моем детстве....

      @@Лель-Полель Смотрите законы для тока и напряжения при переходных процессах в эл. цепях. Бросок будет очень кратковременным, но всё-таки будет.

      C26 is 105 (10^5x10^-12=> 10^(-12+5) => 10^-7 => 1^-6 1 uF.
      Xc=1/(2*pi*50*1*10^-6) = 3.184 ohm
      Max current: (220-0.7*2)/(3184+220+330)= 58 mA rms

      not from this project alone. the only possible way is to have the required end current be less than the forward current of the last led in the chain. and the same for the led before that, and the led before that.. etc etc..and so, basically, you need a resistor for each led, which kind of reduces the effectiveness of the project.

    this is call CAPACITIVE DROPPER CIRCUIT drop the ac voltage at around 35vac.....and convert to dc using bridge diode...commonly use on ac220 RF remote controller for 5vdc receiver and 12vdc relay ....small current and cost effective

    Резистор на 330 Ом, пришлось заменить на 1 кОм , не понятно почему, начали перегорать диоды при обратной полярность. Все детали целые.

    Sir, hello, I did the same as this circuit, the led bulb works very nicely, but it lights up dim, when I measure, 0.20 ma current comes to the leds, what resistance do we need to lower to increase it a little more?

      @@wasimshaikh6896 you cant run 12watt led bulb on it due to flickering but if you increase its voltage capacity then it might run. An example for u is that replace its capacitor with another value such as 4.2uf or so with 400V then it might work on 12 watt led bulb. Rest u can do the math. Or look for another circuit that u test ur self. I found many fake circuits on youtube. For small load like 10mm led it will work perfect.

      Put resistors to half the value on 220 ohms and 330 ohms make them 120 ohms and 170 ohms

    Es bueno pero si conectas el diodo led al revés imagino que de una vez se quema. Tienes siempre que saber la polaridad.

    Sir I have 35.0.35 transformer, I want to convert it to 24.0.24. Is there any option to convert it?
    Actually I need 30 to 40dc volts for the amplifier in dual supply.

      You should DEFINITELY learn more about creating DC supplies from mains before continuing for your own safety.
      However:
      Bridge rectify your AC
      use an appropriate voltage rated bulk storage capacitor AT least 1.5 times the maximum RMS AC voltage.
      Then use a suitably rated switch mode buck regulator to achieve your required final output voltage.
      Please consider carefully your required output current and power and ensure your bulk supply is capable of delivering that.

    Ters voltaj ver bakalım ne oluyor görelim. Her led öyle sıfır değil ve kutupları belirsiz.
    O yüzden ters voltaj verince de bozmaması gerek.
    Bu devre ise ters voltajla ledleri bozar.

    Yes it works BUT, and it is a B I G BUT, potentially lethal! Users should use GREAT caution with such circuits to ENSURE that the output is never exposed to external connections. ALWAYS fully enclose all the components inside an insulated case and use great care when modifying, servicing or otherwise having direct access. Use with external LED strings is HIGHLY inadvisable ... Use a fully isolated supply instead ... A switched mode constant current supply found inside mains LED bulbs is a FAR safer option. 🤔🙄

    If the 220 ohm resistor is connected to the "live" side of the electrical outlet, this circuit is going to give you a nasty shock. Please don't spread false information which can be dangerous for experimenters.

    Pero no habra mayor capacitancia? recordando que el transformador al ser inductancia con la capacitancia se logra tener lo mas cercano al angulo 0 o de componentes resistivos....😶‍🌫️
