My fav plane for the forty+ yrs I've flown, on an off. Have a. balsa one, near same size now. A blast to fly, IMO, the sexiest looking plane ever designed. Great job piloting the FMS centerfold of Sweetness! Thanks for sharing!
Good stuff Gary. Glad it's a easy fix. Been wanting this one for a while now. HH keeps pushing back it's return month. May not get anything from China for a minute. If we do, I hope prices don't go up again. AirHammer out!!
Not long ago, this year, I picked a windy evening to let the wind smash my FMS PA-18 Super Cub into the ground. As I went to collect the carnage the wind had gone... If I'd have waited just 30 more minutes I wouldn't have 15 pcs of foam to piece together.
Hey man, I just recently started getting back into rc flying, been in and out of it since I was a teenager "37 now". Found your video and am enjoying the genuine, honest vibe of the hobby. I was watching this video because I actually just bought this plane and the area you are flying looks like it could possibly be a area close to my home. I thought, there is no way he Flys in Ohio lol. Then I watched your newest video and you were talking about the weather in Ohio lol. Not prying for personal information, I was just curious if you are flying in Miami County because I believe I know this location. I use to belong to the upper valley fun flyers in Piqua Ohio as a kid and then to the Waco field in Troy Ohio as an adult. Keep up the wholesome videos. Take care!
Thanks! I'm in Marysville or Union county. I've flown at the Waco field though. I have the new UMX Waco on the way and plan to fly it there for my video. 😀🛩👍
@IJustGotHere Haha. Thanks for the reply, definitely not the area I was thinking of. I will definitely be looking for the video with the Waco! Hope you have a great new year. Take care.
There has been something wrong with my FMS Pitts for over a year....I drove it into the ground like a fence post because the elevator servo gears went bye bye out of a loop. I had to purchase a few parts but I believe she will fly again and this time it will have something it should have came with to begin with and that is metal geared servos!
Hi Gary. A friend of mine has one of those. It is a really good flyer. You were flying well in that strong wind. Its not too bad if its a consistent speed. When it is gusty I find it really difficult to land.
put a small dab of 'foam-tak' on the threads....have a good one...nice windy flight...
glad its OK
Fun flight GG!! Love the Pitts
Thanks Dave! 😀🛩💯
Nice flight with the Pitts.Good you heard that before the spinner left the plane. That was also a great landing. Thanks and see you next time👍🏻✌🏻
Thanks Don! I'm glad I decided to land when I did. Not much longer and likely I would have been doing foam repairs. 🙃
The Pitts love the wind. Nice flight
Thanks Paul! 😀🛩💯
its a beautiful plane, definitely on my list to get😀😀👍
Nice looking plane and good size. Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching! I love this plane. 😀✈💯

We’re having the same WINDY weather here in southwest Michigan! Yuck! I’m not the skilled pilot like you Gary!!
Hopefully better flying weather is coming soon.

Just did a little aerobatics contest last weekend with this nice Pitts. Not as much wind as this but nearly. Excellent job, Gary! Beautiful flight

That is awful luck.
I maiden my stick 40 electric conversion yesterday and had a great time with it! Keep up the great flying!
Thanks Steve! Glad it went well. 😀🛩👍
Yeah the way that wind sounded who knows where the nose cone would've landed, and if the propeller comes off too.. would've been worse!
AMA Insurance!
Yes always.
Its worth it, just in case! 👍
I enjoyed ur close-in flight, very good !! Luv the Pitts !!
Kept in tight today! 😀🛩💯
I am Really developing a hate for the wind lol
You always make it look easy

Thanks Alan! It is a great airplane. 😀🛩💯
Like the new intro!!
Thanks Chris! 😀🛩👍
It got windy like that when I was flying today also. It felt good to fly nevertheless. I'll check the spinner on my Pitts also. Nice flying Gary 👌 👍
Thanks Roy! I love this plane. 😀🛩💯
Hi Gary I bought a plane on value hobby this ARF called the easy bird it has a wing like a p47 but is a sport plane. It is a stable flyer in the wind.
Congrats Paul! I hope you have good luck with it.
Good save GG. I had 1 do that but I didn't catch it in time. Tire the front end up pretty good.
I've had it happen before too. Sometimes we learn lessons the hard way. 💯

That sounds like a great upgrade. I'll have to think about doing that in mine. Is the wire routing easily accessible? 😀🛩💯
@@IJustGotHere Yes it is.
Which MG servos did you use, FMS??

Thanks Mike! I agree. 😀🛩💯
@@IJustGotHere Dont you have a suitable R/C flying field in your area?
WOW you amaze me how you fly in the wind so well i would crash every plane i have if i tried to do that.
