It might be hard to link to the Bulger case because it's not directly about social class and how the bourgeoisie benefit from the criminal justice system.
@@thesociologytutor2449 thanks so much for replying, could it be used if you were looking at the boys parents? Both single mothers? Or would it just be easier to pick another case? Sorry for all the questions I'm just not getting it 😂
I don't know the question, but it sounds like it might be tricky. A crime by a big corporation that did significant damage to society but wasn't punished heavily would be easy to connect to Marxism. Highlight how the ruling class make the laws themselves therefore the laws don't punish rich companies. An oil spill might be good.
I see what you mean by about the parent angle, the media blames the working class single mums for the crime, rather than acknowledging it's extremely rare and unrelated to class. That could work as well.
Amazing content! The best video I have seen on this topic. Very helpful for my studies. Thank you!!
You're very welcome!
This is one of the best videos I’ve seen on the topic, brilliantly put. Straight facts. Objective and concise.
Enjoyed watching thanks 🙏
Cheers Wesley! I do aim for a bit of objectivity. You know how left wing sociology can be.

We have to look at the Marxist view on a crime, I picked the James Bulger case, does this relate?
