Well I was definitely incorrect about plat in a month being unrealistic, however I still believe getting out of plat will take a while, a plat player is just above average, however being in diamond means you are in around the top 10% of the player base, and it has always been the most toxic rank. On top of all this, while it has always been somewhat difficult to get out of, after the rank reset it’s become even more difficult, because half of your games will be against people who were diamond before the rank reset, infact I was masters 3 back in season 5 of ow2, and currently I am plat 3, not to say that I can’t get out of plat, i could if I played more than once a week, but that doesn’t change the fact that I am in plat, and while I’m no amazing player, I am no plat either, so you may find that some games will feel incredibly one sided in your favor or not. I hope you don’t find my comment discouraging in anyway, I just want to warn you of the difficulties you may face in plat, it can be easy to set expectations that seem realistic at the time, but later on you find out that they weren’t as realistic as you had believed, and this can be very disappointing and discouraging, I wish you the best of luck in your journey to Gm and I hope your expectations are met, however do understand that if you get stuck in plat for a little while, it’s totally normal and a part of ranking up, some players fall into the mindset that the system is just against them, and this simply isn’t true.

I'm ready to face the tougher competition and potential toxicity in Plat, and I'll keep in mind that it's all part of the journey. Understanding that some games might be more one-sided due to the rank reset helps set realistic expectations, so I won't get too discouraged if progress slows down.
