We've had a family apartment there for 48 years so I am familiar with the island. and what I do not understand is the fact that the house he was in was near the bus stop. He said he had missed the bus and was going to walk. The buses run frequently past that area. And why was he thirsty when the house was in view of the bus stop. Either reports are faulty and misguided or someone is fibbing. Where I am based in the UK is 15 minutes from where Jay is from. His past antics hit the news hard in this area. Not popular.

Well I’m not one to judge and we’ve all done wrong in life I pray this lad is found I’m a mother who lost her 16 year old son to suicide and i was that mother walking through the forest looking 😢 alone I didn’t tell anyone i was going as I know I’d have been advised not to it’s by far the worst pain I’ve been through and still go through he was my youngest of 5 he was found 7 weeks later by a young lad working for the forestry board he quit his job I can’t imagine how he coped I pray he’s ok I’ll be forever grateful to him thanks to him I got to lay my son to rest 🙏 not knowing is complete torture but i knew he’d gone I felt it as a mother 😢 I don’t like to speculate on something I don’t know anything about but never wish death on anyone 😢
Interesting you mention this, Jay wasn’t allowed up the mountain without a guide….. as of a few weeks ago anyone going up to masca had to pay and have a guide….. only upto 200 people are allowed up the mountain per day……. I have wondered if one of the locals has run into jay off his tits and got rid of him….. would not be hard in that climate

As someone who's been to Tenerife specifically the festival in Playa De Las Americas it's impossible to go missing 20 miles away without being cohersed into doing so
That area is gorgeous. I have family not far from that area. It does get hot and humid especially in June. I was there late September 2019, and it was brutal during the day back then. I imagine it's very unforgiving if you are not prepared with water or a compass.

The police in Spain know little about Jay, except what they were told by other authorities. They're searching for a missing individual. They possibly don't know anything about Jay's personal history. I have family all over the island as i am Spanish and Portuguese. I was there in 2019, and the roads are well maintained and barriers are all over the roads. If Jay fell over, he must have been too close to the edge in an area beyond the barriers.
They did by the Spanish before being allowed to return. Nothing here thus far, and his mum (not that we can believe anything she says anyway), said they planned to be. At the end of the day if the police don't interview them, we all will if we see 'em

I felt alot more sympathy before I heard what he did to that other lad with a machete. This is what annoys some people they feel the police and authorities make mountains out of mole hills. Eg if he was punished for attacking a stranger in first place and certainly not been allowed to go on holiday partying afterwards. But I still think they are doing a good job looking for a missing person. My mum went missing for a day, years ago. And the police did start to search etc, luckily she came home next day she had been at a friend's, and a bit of a funny turn etc. So I do understand how it must feel to have someone missing, and police did help alot that time in past with my mum. But this story also seems like there's more to it, doesn't seem just like a guy getting drunk and lost etc.
The woman who told him about the bus time and said she had driven past him and he was going in the wrong direction should have her car searched. Why would you drive past him, knowing he is walking the wrong way and not stop and tell him and advise him to go back, get the next bus or cab. She obviously knows how dangerous and far it would be for him to walk. She is from that environment. How has he not been found after 5 days of extensive searching. He would have been found by now if he was out there. He can't have got that far by foot. He was dehydrated and sleep deprived. Has her car not been searched for dna, blood? Her phone movements tracked from monday? If she was a male, I'm sure she would be a suspect.
If he was dehydrated and tired and clearly we’re not used to that kind of heat he could have sadly only lasted a couple days and the main search is for body heat by helicopter and if there’s animals around that area they just see food I know it’s disgusting to think of but I’ve been through it as a mother 😢 it’s sickening to think of I’ll never get over losing him my son’s was suicide I trailed through that forest for hours at a time alone now I look back I guess it’s a good thing I never found him 😢 I’d never get that image out of my head 😢 I pray for the young lad that found him he had to quit his job I hope he’s doing well now for me it’s always there it’ll be 8 years in September he’d just turned 16 that month my youngest of 5 there’s no pain like it 😢

@ericambler486 No, I do not expect the locals to babysit anyone... all I am saying is that if she had spoken to him about the bus and then drove past him a while later and he was walking in the wrong direction, she could have taken a minute to warn him of the dangers of walking especially as she was aware he was heading the wrong way. I am not saying that the woman has done something to him, but I just believe that until he is found dead or alive, every possibility should be investigated. Well I’m not one to judge and we’ve all done wrong in life I pray this lad is found I’m a mother who lost her 16 year old son to suicide and i was that mother walking through the forest looking 😢 alone I didn’t tell anyone i was going as I know I’d have been advised not to it’s by far the worst pain I’ve been through and still go through he was my youngest of 5 he was found 7 weeks later by a young lad working for the forestry board he quit his job I can’t imagine how he coped I pray he’s ok I’ll be forever grateful to him thanks to him I got to lay my son to rest 🙏 not knowing is complete torture but i knew he’d gone I felt it as a mother 😢 I don’t like to speculate on something I don’t know anything about but never wish death on anyone 😢

As someone who's been to Tenerife specifically the festival in Playa De Las Americas it's impossible to go missing 20 miles away without being cohersed into doing so
That area is gorgeous. I have family not far from that area. It does get hot and humid especially in June. I was there late September 2019, and it was brutal during the day back then. I imagine it's very unforgiving if you are not prepared with water or a compass.

The police in Spain know little about Jay, except what they were told by other authorities. They're searching for a missing individual. They possibly don't know anything about Jay's personal history.
I have family all over the island as i am Spanish and Portuguese. I was there in 2019, and the roads are well maintained and barriers are all over the roads. If Jay fell over, he must have been too close to the edge in an area beyond the barriers.

I felt alot more sympathy before I heard what he did to that other lad with a machete. This is what annoys some people they feel the police and authorities make mountains out of mole hills. Eg if he was punished for attacking a stranger in first place and certainly not been allowed to go on holiday partying afterwards. But I still think they are doing a good job looking for a missing person. My mum went missing for a day, years ago. And the police did start to search etc, luckily she came home next day she had been at a friend's, and a bit of a funny turn etc. So I do understand how it must feel to have someone missing, and police did help alot that time in past with my mum. But this story also seems like there's more to it, doesn't seem just like a guy getting drunk and lost etc.

The woman who told him about the bus time and said she had driven past him and he was going in the wrong direction should have her car searched. Why would you drive past him, knowing he is walking the wrong way and not stop and tell him and advise him to go back, get the next bus or cab. She obviously knows how dangerous and far it would be for him to walk. She is from that environment. How has he not been found after 5 days of extensive searching. He would have been found by now if he was out there. He can't have got that far by foot. He was dehydrated and sleep deprived. Has her car not been searched for dna, blood? Her phone movements tracked from monday? If she was a male, I'm sure she would be a suspect.
If he was dehydrated and tired and clearly we’re not used to that kind of heat he could have sadly only lasted a couple days and the main search is for body heat by helicopter and if there’s animals around that area they just see food I know it’s disgusting to think of but I’ve been through it as a mother 😢 it’s sickening to think of I’ll never get over losing him my son’s was suicide I trailed through that forest for hours at a time alone now I look back I guess it’s a good thing I never found him 😢 I’d never get that image out of my head 😢 I pray for the young lad that found him he had to quit his job I hope he’s doing well now for me it’s always there it’ll be 8 years in September he’d just turned 16 that month my youngest of 5 there’s no pain like it 😢

Not babysitting, just simple care for another person.
