I earned the solo but can not yet play it up to tempo especially since Im pretty much busy with Trane s Countdown which might take a century to play at the original tempo. By the way why did you start the solo an octave lower? other guitarists have done the same and I assuming that maybe it flows better and keeps one from switching back and forth from octave to octave. Is that the reason??
Thanks! I started lower because I think the first phrase sounds better there on the guitar. I think it would be too high on the register by the end of the phrase if it starts an octave higher
