Loved that you covered this! Had no idea they were coming out with a neopets TCG but man does it bring me back! I only ever had a couple dozen cards as a kid and never had any idea how to play, just thought the cards were cool, so can’t wait to try out the TCG, y’all made it look like a lot of fun!
I have never played Neopets, don't know anything about it but I LOVED this. The game looks really fun, and I think it's actually something my wife could get into. This looks so sick, when I was a kid I had a huge neopets board game that took up like half my living room haha it had a main board and then a separate board for all the mini games it was so fun
I gotta get a box asap. I remember having neopets cards when I was a kid. Makes me wish I had locals to play the game too. The artwork and all the different neopets are so cool.
If HP is generally below 20, seems like a good use of my fancy but poorly balanced D20s lol
Sad there are no peophin cards yet but I definitely think I'm gonna dive into this lol; guess I need to get a new binder
I had the same idea with using a D20. I'm carrying around a random D20 and some D10s with the starter D6s to make it easier to keep track of damage and stat boosts.
Hoping Peophins come out in one of the next sets (along with Kougras since those are my favourite neopets :P )

Damn I remember playing Neopets with my mom back in 2007-2009, I tried getting back into it multiple times over the past few years but in a time where I have so many different games to play I struggle to go back to Neopets for any meaningful amount of time.
I wouldn't mind trying out this TCG if it ever comes to Australia and if the game isn't fun for me I'll be happy to collect some of my favourite Neopets like Shoyru, Lutari and Xweetok. (If there is an Eventide Shoyru card that'd be my grail card, my favourite paint on my favourite Pet would be the perfect card.)

Anyway, I'm writing to kind of tell you/ask you about rockets mewtwo gameplay. I've built a rogue rockets mewtwo deck and it's very interesting. Wondering if you'd ever messed with it or played against it as I can't find any videos of gameplay with it. I may make one of my own. Anyway man, been following for years, watched you at all the big tourneys you've been in, you're a great person to have in the community we all love so much. Seems like an interesting game. I'd be interested to see how it plays with more optimized decks.
Agility and low-level equipment will probably rule.
I'm already seeing a build where you can play high defence neopets and play a high equipment deck with that axe to burn your opponents. That would be sick to play

My kid really liked the art on Elestrals but I have 0 faith in it's future and it's not fun to play. Neopets looks like a Perfect amount of complexity for a young audience and I can finally steer them away from Elestrals lol

Couldn't be more wrong imo.. it's very fun to play and a lot of room for skill expression while also being nostalgic
@yaboyvickk5635 I can't speak for the nostalgia of Elestrals because I'd never heard of it before a couple of months ago. I didn't get into playing it much so I can't speak to the intricacies of the skill ceiling either but my experience is coming from a parent of a small child. The art really seems targeted at the 5-8 range and the complexity of the game just doesn't lend it to the same demographic.
Conversely my kiddo is really enjoying Neopets as the art is similarly targeted for the age and is much easier to just pick up and play. To each their own though!
