I have both. To me the J basses by themselves sound warm full and pleasing.Stingrays not so much. Kind of quacky and a little harsh. But in the mix the Stingray wins. Especially in a live situation. It sounds fat clear and it cuts. Except for slapping. For that I still prefer the J.
@@bajocuerdas also you picked really nice bass lines from Jamiroquai like light years no one pays attention to that part but it is such a pleasure to listen and to play it
Well, another not a good "COMPARISON" video. Sadowsky, 2 single coil jazz bass pickups and a maple fingerboard. Musicman, 1 dual bass pickup and a rosewood or indian laurel fingerboad. Body woods are probably different. No good deal here fellah's. : D
@@bajocuerdas sorry for such a rude comment. Great video and nice basses. I am biased towards a jazz bass always and that Sadowsky sounds just perfect to my ears.
Tonewood is a myth in electric instruments. Great comparison of pro-level 5 strings regardless of wood: jazz bass style vs. StingRay is a decision many players have to make and this video highlights their differences and similarities.
@@TheDinosaur82 Ok,... if you really believe that woods don't make a difference due to electronics,...then find (2) basses with the same woods, necks and electronics the same. Same company brand, same color but let one of them be "CHAMBERED". I bet money on it that those basses "WILL NOT!" sound the same. Go check it out. I promise you they will not "SOUND" the same. 😲🤨😏

This is a clear and great comparison of smooth single-coil jazz and the punchy humbucker (MM position) sounds. Great video.
Thank you very much!!
OMG. Stingray’s tone is incredible. Great video bro.
thanks for your comment !!!
Thanks - good content!! Very nice sound and playing!
thanks for comment @keziahj
Enjoyed this video! The Sadowsky sounded fuller and rounder the musicman is punchier
cool! sadowsky i like it!

I have owned both. I sold everything I had for another Sadowsky. In my ppinion, once you have played a Sadowsky, the rest feels just like a toy.
Tremendo. Very very good
Muchas gracias
hey did you make the tracks to play along? they sound freaking good, also both those basses bring their own to the songs
Yes, i make it myself, thanks Dario

MM rules in this song

Music man is by far better
I m glad you like music man, hey are totally different sound and feel when you play it
il n'y a pas de son dans les doigts
