That was about the stupidest thing they could have done with that lion. That lion needs to be in a sanctuary, not on a leash on tv.🤬 and that's stupid television woman, taking that scared baby away from its mom.
The two morons on the left are the lion's trainers... someone should have taken them out behind the woodshed after the show. The show was cancelled the same year as this episode, 2007.

What completely made me angry was the baby was so traumatized and just wanted mer mommy and that lady trainer kept taking her as she was screaming, crying hysterically, and kept reaching for her mom! That was ridiculous!

I quite agree, the whole scene was badly handled and traumatised the mother as well as the baby. It made me cry because it was so wrong.💞🇬🇧

Traumatized baby, emotionally scared for life. Mom should sue the animal handler, it was clear he wasn't in control of the lion. The animal could have seriously harmed the baby. Yeah tell everyone to be calm while baby is mauled, what an idiot. Then she takes the hysterical baby from the mother further traumatizing the child, it was clear she was clueless on how to comfort the child. Love Steve Irwin, RIP!

The lion’s jaw and claws are extraordinarily strong. No one could have extricated the baby out of its mouth or claws out of the baby’s body if it chose to hold on. It was just getting started.
That cat saw that baby as prey and dug its claws into her and that stupid woman kept saying "You're OK, stop screaming!". What BS!

That mother, if she IS the mother, FAILED her child. How can you just sit there with a stupid smile on your face while your child is being eaten by a lion? And the trainer. The LIES here... making it seem all right. Pacifying the terrorized child telling her it's all right. People are given instincts by God for a reason. Yet everyone lies for the camera.
As a reptile-keeper for almost 40 years - Steve Irwin was my hero ! All he ever wanted people to do was to appreciate the animals he cared about. JUST because reptiles don't have fur or feathers, or look cute - it doesn't mean they deserve to be persecuted !

What idiots will have a baby and lion within inches from each other? To the lion, that is a small human enough to be food. The baby knew and was screaming, The idiotic adult kept saying its fine. No it was not fine. If i was the parent, i will sue the show.
The baby was further traumatized by not giving it back to its mother the way it needed and wanted to be!
