No, it's not at all clear. The topic is easy, but the video makes it horribly convoluted, and the animations are unbelievably bad. It wouldn't be easy to make something less clear than this video. I'm truly shocked at how bad this video is, managing to make a fairly clear and simple topic less clear and more convoluted, while at the same time failing to mention critical errors you need to avoid.
You are one in 250 (0.04%) who commented that this video is bad. While most viewers found this video helpful, I understand it might not meet everyone's expectations. However, I appreciate your feedback.
To be completely safe and reliable, 2 undervoltage relays should be added, one for the generator side other for the grid. These relays only enable the changing over if the voltage and frequecy are ok
It’s very nice to understood every one 🎊👍🏻if you finished video at last slide you should show control diagram and power diagram it has help for very one .please do that upcoming videos 🙏🏻
I would like to ask one question..if the contactor from grid or genarator get jammed, any safety devices can fix to avoid two way supply at the same time...?
Further to the electrical interlocking arrangement through auxiliary contact points of a magnetic contactor, we can introduce an additional mechanical interlock in between the two main contactors. It will too help stopping both contactors getting power at the same time.
Connecting two synchronous generators (or alternators) together to operate in parallel is a process called synchronization. It ensures that both generators share the load and operate safely and efficiently without causing damage to either machine or the power system. For successful synchronization, the following four conditions must be met between the two generators: 1.The terminal voltage of both generators must be the same. 2. Both generators must operate at the same frequency. 3. The phase sequence must be identical for both generators. 4.The phase angle difference between the voltages of the two generators must be zero or close to zero when they are connected. There are three commonly used synchronization methods. 1.Manual Synchronization: Using a synchronoscope or synchronizing lamps, the operator manually matches the parameters and closes the circuit breaker. 2.Automatic Synchronization: An automatic synchronizer matches the voltage, frequency, and phase angle and closes the circuit breaker at the correct time. 3. Dark Lamp and Bright Lamp Method: In this method, two lamps (across the generator and bus) are used to monitor phase angle difference. The lamps will flicker and go dark when the generators are synchronized. Hope you got the required information.
I have not shown the neutral line to the load here. Neutral line to the load should be through the junction box. Grid side and Generator side neutral lines should be taken separately to the junction box, as we did for the three phase lines. Thank you
I haven't done any costing for this. With the help of an electrician, you can do this according to the present day market values. This system works for any size of a generator.
According to the VDE, the mains must first be switched off, then wait briefly, and then the emergency power must be switched on again. The switches must be mutually interlocked so that both are never switched on at the same time. The system must be immune to very short dropouts.
Exactly. Timers on this ATS are there for this purpose. Also, electrical interlocking system is already included here. In addition, you can introduce a mechanical interlocking system too.
No. There will be an interruption around 10 to 15 seconds only, when changing power. Please see video on this link for generator automatic starting. ruclips.net/video/82kSAOOcouA/видео.html
I have shown the general system of an ATS. You are free to add more equipment and do modifications according to your requirement. Please get help from a good electrician on this.
Nice video and explination sir, this ats auto start if black out power the generator run and then if the normal power come back, this generator power off, thank you sir
Here automatic transferring of power take place with ATS but generator auto start facility is not available. For ATS with generator auto start function, please see my video on below link. ruclips.net/video/82kSAOOcouA/видео.html Thank you.

Good explanation sir but I just need to know where the neutral going to the load will be taken from since our load is going to need one
I have not shown the neutral line to the load here.
Neutral line to the load should be through the junction box.
Grid side and Generator side neutral lines should be taken separately to the junction box, as we did for the three phase lines.
Thank you

I don't have any diagrams.
But there's a video on ATS for single phase generator.

why you don't have a push-button switch between the load side of the miniature circuit breaker and coil?
Here automatic transferring of power take place with ATS but generator auto start facility is not available.
For ATS with generator auto start function, please see my video on below link.

Which of the two is the priority?
Grid power.
Generator is used here, when grid power is interrupted only.
