Recently, economists recorded a decline in India's GDP, also consumption has been hitting a low in urban areas. Tax revenues from some states alleviated as the public spendings low in these times. In this condition, import bills are continuously increasing. The hope of RBI and the government that GDP and inflation rate will be in their better state but there is little light seems to fulfil the hope after these declinations. However, the policymakers assured these declinations as temporary, and the festive season will rebound these alleviations. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 thankyou mam

4/jan./2025 Today's Editorial There were several economic indicators. It's release on the last week . It's bad news for the Finance Ministry and the hopes of the Reserve Bank of India 's is bad too. However, RBI of India's hopes of a growth improve in the second half of 2024-25.
My score - 6/9 Crux of editorial - Several economic data shows decline in GDP to 5.4% in second quarter that became cause of distress for the Finance Ministry & Reserve Bank of India. Gross revenues were at three-months low to 1.77 Lakh crore rupees which is second lowest in last three & half years. Data also recorded the core sector growth of 40%. These final gauges are important for blueprint of interim budget which is going to be released in February 1. Thank you ma'am ❤
Crux of the article: The decline in the GDP in the 2 nd quarter was 5.4% lower than expected growth pedicured by RBI. Policymakers expected that this contraction is due to seasonal fluctuations. The demand in urban area had decelerated and the rural area showed resilient. The states like Uttar Pradesh ,Maharashtra and northeastern states such as Manipur needs close scrutiny. The Centre has to examine the economic situation and cause of lower consumption demands of urban areas in this February 1 Union budget.
Today's Editorial From the second quarter economy is seen losing its momentum as the consumption demand has seen transient decline due to the restrained spending in urban India. Whereas with respect to the GDP some has shown exuded optimism for the resilient rural demand and its outlook lifting up the momentum again. As per the latest data Finance Ministry needs to finalize some gauges to assess this problem before finalizing the economic blueprint for the 2025-26 Union Budget. Economy is growing with the pace of 4.3% in which core infrastructure has shown 40% increase and Bank credit has touched it lowest since last five months. Purchasing Manager Index shows worst factor of NOV/DEC 2024. GST receipts didn’t succour much in the situation, marking its 4th straight most below10%. Decelerating in domestic revenue is of 8.4% and increase in import revenue is of 3.9% Post Deepavali. Since all some states has shown poor revenue are Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh pain pointing afflict consumption, including high inflation.
CRUX OF TODAY'S EDITORIAL: Lots of economic factors that came into limelight over the past few weeks can be seen as an alarming risk of India's growth rebound in the second half of 2024-2025. While the policymakers ignored the past reports and had been relying on the festive season for lifting the momentum, they are now facing an arduous challenge to snowball the economy. As an evidence, Bank credit growth has mitigated for the fifth straight month in November. Overall the current scenario depicts a steady and hampering growth of economy and in order to formulate the budget firmly, the centre would try to learn and address the pain points, including lofty inflation.
today's editorial - Many economic indicators show bad news for the Finance Ministry and RBI about the growth rate of the Indian economy. As GDP has slipped to 5.4% in 2nd quarter, termed as "transient blip". While the core industry sector increased to 4.3% but the production levels were lower at their capacity. The collection of GST was 3 moths low , approx ₹1.77lakh cr, but 7.3% higher than last year. In nutshell, the Y-O-D growth is a tall task to catch up with 11%. For that Govt needs to take majors about afflicting consumption, including high inflation. score- 7/9
Many factors like lower consumption and demand affecting growth of economy. GST collection of Rs. 1.77 lack crore in december shows just 7.3℅ growth than last year. After refund net gst revenue growth just 3.3℅ though RBI is optimistic about better in 2 half of year mainly in 4th quarter and named as transient blip. Revenue growth of different states like uttar pradesh 4℅ , Gujarat 1℅ and andhra pradesh and North Easter states also slow down. So government, rbi and ministries have to find the main problem afflicting consumption and demand and how to deal with increasing inflation.
The crux of Today's editorial:- Recently released economic indicators disappointed the finance ministry and RBI because they hoped GDP ramp up to incoming months but it is declined with 5.4% in second quarter 2024 - 25. Although policymakers acknowledged this is transient blip but the latest data points are important for making new blueprint of union budget which excide in 1st Feburary 2025-26 . On the other hand last fifth months Bank credit growth slow down, core infrastructure sectors upsticks with 40% and production sector decline with 3.3% in October. The GST recipts are also not good especially in gross revenues decline in last three months with 1.77 lakh crore which is higher than last year. The estimating growth rate 11% does not catch upans it's decline with 8.6% year to year. Domestic transaction revenue growth slowed to 8.4 % while import revenue bumped up with 27% which is higher record. For making new budget government have to understand this pain pointers.
Crux of the Editorial: Several Economic indicators over the past few weeks bring about bad news for the hopes of growth for the Oct-Dec quarter. The policymakers have acknowledged this slow consumption demand by restrained urban spendings. Bank credits have dipped for the fifth month straight while the core sectors saw a growth of 4.3%,a four-month high. However the production levels decreased indicating that the 8 core sectors are operating at lower capacity. Also the Purchasing manager Index shows the worst factory activity levels in Nov and Dec throughout 2024. The GST receipts also don’t succour the mitigating consumption rate. Also Net revenues after refunds stood at 3.3%,the slowest this fiscal. The poor revenue growth of major states like UP ,Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh needs closer scrutiny. Hence the Centre needs to access and address the afflicting causes of consumption including high inflation and accordingly prepare the blueprint for the budget for the next fiscal year.
