I was born in Mariupol, 1994. This is very difficult to see. Last time I was there was in 2013. Left August 2013 couple months before Maidan. Beautiful city and very close to heart, I still have relatives there, that we are helping out. Hope peace comes soon.

However, I think is important to remember people will endure, we always do; and this beautiful city will eventually recover its splendor. I know it will. I knew nothing about Ukrain untill this war. During recent days, every time when there is a news pop up for Ukraine, I always locate the place where the news comes from on Google map. By using the street view, I see smiling people walking in streets, I see black soil aside quiet rivers, I see blue sky over the endless sea surface... However that are all gone, there are only gun fire and death now. What a crime they did! Everyone in this world should stand up to help Ukrainian, if you don' t want to live in a world like Ukraine today.

This city has survived wars and strife, it had houses that have witnessed the Tzars, the Soviets - and now it's almost gone. That history cannot be rebuilt. Whatever city will rise up in place of destroyed Mariupol will be a new city, not the same one. The legacy and history of our shared culture are destroyed irreversibly.

Не был он красивым. Это с коптера он симпатично смотрелся. Посмотрите фото нормальным планом: грязный, запущенный, дорог нет, все постройки, кроме бутиков - советские не о рестоврированные здания. Как ВСУ в мае 14 туда зашли, так город и забросили. Вообще города в Донецкой и Луганской областях забросили. Разве что Крамоторск и Артемовск держали в относительном порядке.

I knew nothing about Ukrain untill this war. During recent days, every time when there is a news pop up for Ukraine, I always locate the place where the news comes from on Google map. By using the street view, I see smiling people walking in streets, I see black soil aside quiet rivers, I see blue sky over the endless sea surface... However that are all gone, there are only gun fire and death now.
What a crime they did! Everyone in this world should stand up to help Ukrainian, if you don' t want to live in a world like Ukraine today.

I disagree. This city has survived wars and strife, it had houses that have witnessed the Tzars, the Soviets - and now it's almost gone. That history cannot be rebuilt. Whatever city will rise up in place of destroyed Mariupol will be a new city, not the same one. The legacy and history of our shared culture are destroyed irreversibly.

Моя тётя двоюродная, украинка. Выехала неделю назад из Мариуполя. ВСУ обстреляли мирных жителей. Русские солдаты сняли с себя жилеты и вывели её и ещё нескольких людей из под обстрелов. Она чуть умом не тронулась, потому что все 8 лет ненавидила Россию, и с нами перестала общаться. Но когда украинские солдаты стреляли украинцам по ногам, чтобы мирные жители не могли покинуть нудный им район Мариуполя у моей тёти произошло ОСОЗНАНИЕ, кто враг, а Кто ДРУГ. Сейчас она в России, жива. Мы снова общаемся. Теперь помогаем деткам из детдомов Украины найти семью, пусть и временно. Собираем гуманитарку для Украины. ЗЕЛЕНСКОГО ПОД ТРИБУНАЛ , так сказала моя тётя, а ведь она его почти БОГОТВОРИЛА
