I remember hearing this song from atop my boyfriend's shoulders during a massive party at Mt. Airy Lodge in the Poconos, PA in the late 90's. Can't remember the party name but man we were having a peak moment when he turned us around to look out at the huge crowd, all smiling, dancing and pumping fists almost in slow motion, all together to the beat. The feeling was indescribable, and nothing, (thus far!) has lived up to that feeling that thousands of people were one, even for just one night. Memories...
I was lucky enough to know about Goldie before I moved to Orlando in the mid 90's and saw him with whomever the vocals are sung by. I saw them at Sapphire Supper Club downtown Orlando. Oh the good times!
The lady singing is Roberta Flack. Goldie remixed her song, Inner City Life. The song was from the 70's. Goldie's version was dnb and the Rabbit in the Moon mix is this, which I prefer but both are awesome. I first heard this on Fever Time to Get Ill Volume 5, Scott Henry's side...second to last song.
God damn I miss the 90s.

Its amazing how old tunes bring back a flood of memory and emotion. Puts you in another place and time...
