Grid view, the automation screens, the new performance screen and this new MIDI follow mode are really amazing workflow enhancements to the Deluge - It is now so good!!! It was a little cumbersome previously, but now, damn - its so quick and easy to build a song up without ever stopping playback, and then mangle the hell out of it with performance view and resampling. Best groovebox ever!
    Well demonstrated Ron!

    Hello Ron,
thanks for the vids as always
    About External audio synth signal:
Maybe I'm missing something but I always input external gear differently . I don't open a synth track within an oscillator as input source but I create an a audio track.
To input my external gear and to record audio and midi I do input the audio signal of my Blofeld in to the LINE IN - and assign the track as audio track , than fixing it as stereo input monitoring, in this way I have only one clip in the grid and in rows view.
The way you do seams better to can switch 'on the fly' the On/Off states of the audio clips like any other clip midi.
    an other thing:
    .
MIdi Follow seams an intersting topic, but I didn't t seam to understand it well...
from this tutorial what I hope I understood well is that now Deluge, within Midi Follow enabled (from song view or clip view) , can now use external controllers as an extension of deluge clip/track launched/armed withouth the need to have a multichannel keyboard.
Multichannel controllers are a real thing when controlling grooveboxes and this feature would reduce need of space a lot!
Also the channel-switch feature isn't very common on keyboard controllers, a part of Arturia (which uses presets only in the bigger versions) and very few other examples. The most of controllers need to scroll or press fast right/left buttons to find the channel, and so it is hard to remember. But if really midi follow works pretty well all midi minikeys can work too, right ?

@@effebidi9677 yes theres multiple ways to get audio in, i used an oscillator so you can apply sidechain to the incoming signal. Midi follow is basically set channel and any screen youre on will auto control that instrument. Not much more to it.

@@RonCavagnaro what now I don't get really is how fix midi follow on a module synth if there is not an extarnal keyboard controller to trigger that device. So now I'm a bit confused.
does the midi follow feature works also to learn external sound sources of just midi controllers that control deluge and more external modules too. I don't understand the direction of the midi follow feature enterily

@@effebidi9677 midi follow means you choose a midi instrument from external - it will control 1. the clip you are in or 2. the clip you last were in. There is nothing more than this. Sorry if it comes off more complex, but it is that basic.

For sure a totally different way of using this machine. I think I need to change where my deluge is located in the MIDI chain..
