How do you put it in and then put once you have the final piece?
@@biancamendizabal8795Hi Bianca. Did you have trouble putting the ukulele in? One tip is that you can try on your ukulele before knotting the bottom, at that point, you will know which positions keep the ukulele balance. Let me know if you have any question. Thanks
i know I'm kinda randomly asking but do anybody know a good place to watch new movies online ?
@Brock Kareem I watch on flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
I believe that this video is lacking too much instruction to truly be beginner friendly, but it's a beautiful product!
I did not know that the video can be unfriendly for beginners. :). I will try to work on our next videos to give clearer instructions. Thank you so much!:)
Yea the double knot your view on the camera makes it hard to understand
@@whitneyleyva-camberos8784 Thank you for your comment. We're working on that to make sure our next videos can be easier to follow. Thanks again!
Thanks for the tutorial! As others have said, it’s kinda difficult to follow as a noobie. I got very frustrated at times, but I’m so glad I finished it. PRO TIP: You can slow down RUclips videos, so hit the settings button and turn it to like 50% speed and that can really help. I found other videos for things like diagonal half hitch knots to help me along the way. Once you’re done the top stuff it’s easy. Thanks for providing this tutorial because it’s literally the only one I could find for a ukulele hanger. :)
Hi Elisha Luptak!! I really appreciate your feedback.
i thought this a great tutorial! thanks so much for sharing.
thank you for the video! I've been planning to make such hanger for a very long time! Now its done :)
As I understand at the end you didn't have enough cord. I got very confused
Hi!! Thanks for your feedback. I got some comments saying that the video is not beginner-friendly at all and I really appreciate those comments. There're still rooms for improvement and better instruction is one of them.
So glad that you still got your project done after lots of confusion. :)) Thanks again for being supportive.
Beginner friendly :D So funny!!! :D Showing tricks in this way is not for beginner.
Hi Daniel! :D I did not know that until I've received some feedback that the video is so unfriendly for beginners. There are also some other tutorials for ukulele hanger on RUclips, you can check them out for better instruction. Really hope it's helpful and you can get your project done nicely. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck
I made this! I'd like to send you a photo!
Please do! :))). We're so glad that you found the toturial helpful. sheisapples.diy@gmail.com.
Hello, I am curious if this pattern will work for a tenor ukulele as it is slightly larger
hey! I finished my guitar version! ~ This was my first attempt at macrame.. I had to watch other videos on how to do the specific knots mentioned but apart from that I really enjoyed doing this! I can send you some pictures by email if you like?
That's so great! 'd love to get the photos of your project! lethuytien.diyatgmail.com. Thank you so much for your lovely feedback!!!
Just got your email! The piece is absolute cute and goes with your pinky guitar. That’s a great job for the first project of Macrame. Hope you still enjoy macrame later on!!! :)))
She's apples Thankyou so much for your feedback! I can’t wait to do more! :)
Do you have the measurements for the guitar? I would love to make one for my acoustic
I started this but it’s not clear on how many knots one makes before you flip it and so on help
I am truely a beginner, and this was ok for a beginner. Just the video is not that clear sometimes (too confusing) but I watched many times to be able to understand. And I completed with other tutos. Too many rope at the end, I found I have wasted a lot of rope. But hey, good job for the video and thanks a lot 😊
Hi Catherine Montminy! Thanks for being supportive. Your feedback means a lot!
It would be nice to know how long the total loop should be or how many knots were done in just the top loop. I just keep rewatching and trying to count. Really want to make this though
Hi Elizabeth! The loop top was made with 10 knots before joint together. Let me know if anything is unclear. Thanks!!
It looks like some of your cord ran out near the end around the 13 minute mark in this tutorial but then suddenly there was lots. What happened. Was there not enough cord?
Hi. There was some mis-calculations so I used tight knots to add extension parts to the cords. The measurement in the tutorial was updated.
Which cord do you use to hang the loop?
How do you attach it on the wall when you're finished? Is there just one nail at the top, or do you have to take another loop of cord to fix it?
There is a loop on the top of the piece, so I just simple hang it to a nail.
Is the 400cm string folded in half to make a loop at the beginning?
Hi Kayle Lee. The 400cm cord is folded in half as well. :)
god this is hard :')
LOL! I had no idea that the tutorial could be that confusing. I'd love to suggest that you can get to know 2 basic knots: Square knot and Double haft hitch knot before starting this project. Just drop me a line if you have any questions, I'd love to answer all of them. :)))
Love the style of this! Question? How much more cord to you have to add to the end? I would like to make sure I have enough from the beginning. Thank you :)
Hi Kathleen. The correct length was noted in the description. To make sure, you can add 20cm more each cord. Let me know if anything is unclear. Good luck!!!
@@shesapples4845 thank you I did not see that. Sorry :)
@@kathleengarrity1221 That's alright. Good luck.
This is so beautiful. Does it get hard to put in and take off the uke each time?
I use it myself I have no trouble at all. :) Let me know if anything is unclear. Thank you!!
Okay awesome. Thank you so much 💗
This is amazing!! I was going to buy something similar but I much prefer doing projects like this myself. Thank you so much!
How log is the final product in total? I would like for mine to be about 40 inches (about 100cm) from top to bottom. How would you suggest I change the cord lengths?
Thanks again!!1
Hi Marilyn! The piece is 88cm long (The tassel part is 13cm. If you want the project to be longer, you can add more knots to decorating pattern below the loop and the tassel. With each knot added to the pattern, you can plus 6cm to each cord. Let me know if any is unclear. :)
She's apples so for every additional knot I should allow for an additional 6cm on each cord?
@@MarilynVatican That's correct. :)
Hiiii how are you? I'm Brazilian and I loved the video!
But a doubt, would the measurements be the same for a ukulele concert? It is about 63cm long.
Hi! I just did this project for my concert ukulele. The 400cm and 80cm cords are good as is, but i reccomend doing 350cm instead of 310 for the 5x cords. Hope this helps
@@alexis9086 thank you :)))
What size ukulele is this for?
My ukulele is 54cm long. The length of the project can be adjustable for other sizes. :)
How big of a dowel did you use for this?
Hi. The diameter of the dowel is approximately 1.4cm. :)
VOCÊ PODE FAZER UM PARA VIOLÃO?
Hi! You can try the estimated measurement as below:
- 5 cords : ((Your guitar's length + around 150cm for all knots) x 2 )= a
- 1 cord
: a + 100cm
- 1 cord: 80cm
To make sure you can plus from 20 -50cm more for each cord. Let me know if anything is unclear! Good luck!
Hi there, What measurements/amount of cord would you suggest if I wanted to make this for a full-sized guitar? thanks😊
Hi JoyalLyndonFitness, I don't have a guitar to give you an exact measurement but with a similar pattern, you can use cords with a bigger size like 6mm.
- 5 cords : ((Your guitar's length + around 150cm for all knots) x 2 )= a
- 1 cord
: a + 100cm
- 1 cord: 80cm
To make sure you can plus from 20 -50cm more for each cord. I hope this helps. Good luck!!
@@shesapples4845 cám ơn c nhiều lắm ạ
@@tramnguyen1230
have you tried it for a guitar? if yes, it would be incredibly helpful to have some measurements to work with, I want to on for my guitar too
Hi@@meta2066. JoyalLyndonFitness - She did and her project turned out absolutely beautiful. I'm not sure the exact measurement of her project.
In case your comment might not get to her, you can try the estimated measurement as below:
- 5 cords : ((Your guitar's length + around 150cm for all knots) x 2 )= a
- 1 cord
: a + 100cm
- 1 cord: 80cm
To make sure you can plus from 20 -50cm more for each cord. Good luck!!!
Do you have a written pattern for this? :3 Thanks!
Hi Alice. Sorry that I do not have written pattern. I know the video is a bit hard to follow but I hope it is still helpful for you. Thank you!
Does It fit for an Tenor ukulele also?
Hi Nicole Glitzer! The hanger is flexible and adjustable, I'm not sure the size of Tenor ukulele but if it is not much bigger then it is totally fit. :)))
@@shesapples4845 thx, is it a 4mm cord?
Yes. It is.:)
Thanks for the video! Can I use 3mm cord instead? It’s all I have
Hi Joanna Riddle! Yes, absolutely, you can use 3mm for this project.:). Good luck!!
a little frustrating when you get confused which string to tie where. This is not beginner-friendly.lol still tried tomake though. tookme hours to finish. still, thank you
I know it can be confusing sometimes, So glad u still get it done.:)))) Thank you!!
Coould you explain the last knot better?
Hi Paulina! Thank you for your comment. I guess it is easier for you to watch a tutorial of the knot. You can search: "Wrap knot macrame" for a clearer tutorial. Just let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!!!
@@shesapples4845 thank you
@@pauolav not at all
It's a very pretty ukulele hanger but the tutorial is very wasteful. Even with the fringes in the end I had to cut off 45cm in the end. That's 5,40m in total! I find that very wasteful considering how expensive the jarn is 😢
This is by far the worst DIY I've ever tried (probably due to my lack of macrame abilities) - unfortunately since the end result you've created looks really amazing.
I was really unable to understand whether I did the knots correctly in the first place and wasn't able to reproduce the hole thing.
I've spend hours and hours on it and in the end all I have are lots of irregular and uneven knots and a completely misshaped hanger 😅
For update see comments
Hi JR. I don't know what to say. :)))) I knew the tutorial could be confusing at some parts but I did not expect any viewer's project would turn out totally misshaped. :D. I just did the very basics of the top part, but the bottom part turned out OK actually.
I still like the simpler version and it looks nice :)
I can really recommend it. As much as I like your artsy version, mainly working on the lower part did the trick for me.
Glad that It’s still helpful. Thanks for your feedback.

This is not easy 😔

Does I ave to use different measurements, if I have a concert ukulule? Which? And does a 3mm chord change the measurements of the cords? :)
Hi! I just did this project for my concert ukulele. I used 4mm cord so I cant help with your question about that. The measurments I reccomend for the concert ukulele is: The 400cm and 80cm cords are good as is, but i reccomend doing 350cm instead of 310 for the 5x cords.
