If you close the Pressure valve back off when you take out the drain plug you wont get the Rush of water. Take out the plug then you can stand out of the way and open the pressure relief valve. This will allow air to enter and the water to escape.
I think I described that in the video but it is an aluminum tank not steel. Please watch again and I think I even cover the different manufactures that have the anode rod. Thank you for watching.

I have heard of hydrogen peroxide being used instead of cider. What works best with hard water deposits and horrible smell despite previous flushing?
