Darren. Just watched your podcast on CC with Terry. Alls I can say bro is wow. I went back to college at 38 having lived a ‘life’. I qualified at 39 and walked straight into a job coz I put my all into it, I’m a career I am passionate about. Similarly - you e a passion and a purpose bro, don’t let the system haunt you, educate yourself and go for your dreams for they know the way.
My company know of my past, I’m quite open about who I used to be (not in great detail) and I’m given a fair crack at the whip. My kids got their daddy back and I’m loving a good life. I had to lower my ego and start from the bottom in a real man’s world. A world where nothing comes for free and my money is honest money now.
Anyhow. Cracking bloke you are. Respect from Newcastle. Go get em champ.

I'm from the estate he was found in wigan. He Got caught in shop not pub. He's sound tho mate, he had a couple of little spliffs with the young lads but they didn't know who he was, lol.

😢 iv got two boy's both very close 2yr 7months between them.. and the way Darren and Danny were close as kids . But then care system everthing else from young kids they had no chance its sad but the criminal system older guys who are around my area.. see two young game kids street wise but also easily manipulated.. heres some money go buy yourself new cloths ect never had that growing up basically got groomed then when they became a threat same guys that got them in that life set them up for life in prison and a whole lot of trauma .. sad two brothers now don't speak can't visit his brother still criminals ties to certain people split up to brother's and ruined there lifes just as it was getting started both doing long sentences early 20s

Hope they're not to harsh on him regarding extra days, he's done more than enough time inside and he's proved he's not a threat to society while back out on the streets (for a short period) it's abit like charlie bronson his myth proceeds him when infact it's the screws these people have issues with not the every day joe public

The bottom line is he got into no trouble and lived as a civilian this is a big deal, he wasn’t ready for freedom, I do wonder why they let him go to an open prison when he wasn’t ready. I done a step down program before I hit the open prison looking back I was afraid of the open system the prisoners the screws the whole system. I kept my head down and couldn’t understand anything I was like a child in a sweet shop that was over30 years ago yet I remember it like yesterday. I wish you well Mr G and know how you feel.☘️

It’s hard being taken from a catA to open environment different kinda prisoners different screws more rules and arse kissing. He should only get 3/6 months your sentence freezes soon as you abscond. It’s out of order ban the ipp or at least sort them out. I no all to well with authorities/probation on your case. What will go good for him he didn’t re offend whilst on the run.
IPP sentences have been scrapped buddy. They can't be given out anymore. They didn't change the rules for those already serving IPP, and there's been a lot of noise about that, which is most probably why he got cat D. I reckon he did exactly what Darren suggested. Go on a little holiday, few spliffs, get his nuts, back to where he feels safe.
@@joeexotic5831 Joe I know ipp has been scrapped but there’s still to many still serving them sentences. There was always stories in the inside times but nothing seemed to change for those already sentenced. I’ve met plenty of ipp prisoners on my travels but no government wants to put it right. EPP seams to be the new thing out which as far has I can tell is like an old parole sentence with extended license.
