Sorry to say but the condition of Tibetan schools are very bad. Tibetan students are being neglected by teachers and the management in the matter of hygiene,food and education standards . So parents are preferring to admit their children in English medium schools. Many parents suggested me not to put my children in CST but thinking my children would forget their language and culture I admitted them in the Tibetan School but now it’s a nightmare because of less students school here also closed from class 6. The Tibetan school where my children are studying have very bad condition. School looks so horrific. No maintenance . In the hostel they’re not even provided with running water so they could wash their hands after using toilet. Dining hall to too far and the weather here in hill station is mostly rainy and they have to go far just to eat unhygienic food. Teachers aren’t present to teach during last period, what the children are doing they don’t give heed. Maybe management is neglecting them thinking just because they’re poor children and parents have no where to put their children or they are getting easy salary monthly without any accountability. Tibetan govt shouldn’t be in hurry to close the schools but diligently seek to improve the whole standard of the education,living conditions of the Tibetan children in the school.
World needs to support Tibet,
