Revisiting this vlog episode because I eventually bought a Onewheel XR, and it has been the most fun thing I ever bought. I seriously have a blast on this thing and I am anti-walking now. It's better than anything I have ridden, which includes esk8 boards and EUC's. Just a personal preference. I love this thing. 😀

I dunno -- I think the Chinese hoverboard looked cooler. You could do 360s with it, and it seemed much more maneuverable -- though you could clearly go faster with the one wheel. I'd still go with the Chinese one.

OTOH, this one's more like a skateboard, so it could be that Casey likes it better because he likes skateboarding. So three things I think make Casey like this one: 1) it's like a skateboard; 2) you can be rougher with it; 3) you go much faster with it. I think all those things fit Casey's preferences/personality, so he might like this one better. But I agree -- the other one seems more elegant, simpler to use. It also responds when you just start to move in a certain direction (as Casey said, you just think about what you want to do and it does it). So, a better product, IMO. But they need to make them a bit more durable, especially with that middle joint. That's where it broke on Casey's, and that seems to be where a lot of people have problems. That said, considering Casey's muscle mass, he is not a light person, the way he misused/abused that thing leaping down steps on a daily bases made what happened to it inevitable. I can't count the number of times where I thought, "right, he's definitely going to snap it this time!". Another thing in the American product's favour-and to add to your list of why Casey might prefer the American product-is the big fat inflatable tire! This automatically makes for a much smoother ride compared to a solid wheel. For someone like Casey who has to deal with NYC streets, this could make a huge difference.

Sher Thom That's pretty standard for apps that allow you to upload content. It just means they can use your content without having to pay you for it. But it's still yours.

I'm asking because I know someone who discovered that a Facebook advertisement was using a thumbnail from one of her RUclips videos that she posted on her Facebook page. She was pictured in her thumbnail. The company using the photo had no relationship with her nor with what she did. They were just using the thumbnail to advertise their product without any permission or compensation.
Sher Thom Yeah, that's basically what you're agreeing to when you agree to the terms of service. They can do that. On the positive side, you still hold the copyright of your work, so other users still can't use it without compensation. But the company itself can, because they have the license you agreed to.

Jonah_ I don't know the slightest thing about app development or even whats happening in the office but on twitter it lists an IOS developer but not an android developer. I'm on android so I hope I'm wrong.
I don't know much about the company in all fairness, but I do know Casey uses android too so maybe it is.
